Be aware! Be very aware!

To many times did I have to hold an interview with someone who had taken their time and spent their money to come into interview under false pretenses.

This company has no real Management Positions, they have no warehouse positions, they have no director of Marketing positions, and they have no adervertising or public relations positions.

All they have is entry level sales and lead generation positions.

These positions are commision only positions. DO NOT let them fool you. They do not offer a base pay plus commision. It will be either the base pay which normally starts off at 5.85 per hour and ends at 8.00 per hour, or the commision. They promise you a 45% commision plus a base pay. They are LIEING!

How do I know, well I was the "Executive Administative Assistant" to the Manager or so he likes to call him self, the Vice President of the company, for 5 months. Before that I worked in the Amarillo office for 7 months as the administrator.

When I moved to the Ft Worth office I did at least 30 interviews a day with people who thought this was a legitimate business.

I left the company this week. When I walked out of that office I promised to get the word out.

Don't trust these companies. They are frauds who will do and say anything they can to make you believe that they are legitimate.

This company now know as A&P Event Concepts, previously had 2 other names, that alone tells you enough. Google any of those names and start looking around at the complaints being lodged against these companies.

They are fraudlent

Don't let what happend to me happen to you.

I interviewed at this "business" a couple weeks ago and had such bad feelings about the whole thing I decided not to follow thru. I didnt know what it was they did, the lady told me she had 30 other interviews for the day (but yet chose myself and another woman in the office with me that she chose us early because we had such good smiles..what?!?) I again never got a clear idea of what they did, it seemed dirty and unprofessional with the "receptionist" yelling at her roommate for a cat peeing on their floor as we were all sitting there. I was told to return for an 8 hour interview the following day to see what they did... and decided at that point to not go back. I am not going to go anywhere unpaid for 8 hours.. not to mention I have never seen nor heard of any interview needing to last 8 hours. A huge waste of my day. Everything you said made perfect sense. What other names have they gone by? She mentioned doing marketing for the Texas Rangers and Home Depot.. and made them seem like this big time company.. but I did not see it. I also got no follow up call for not returning the next day. I feel very uncomfortable at the fact that they have my social security number.

First and foremost, this company is one of the best things that has happened to me. Second, the complainer didn't leave voluntarily, she was fired and is bitter. When you don't do your job properly of course they are going to let you go. When you don't take constructive criticism and apply it to the skills you are lacking, it's completely pointless to continue to be an employee. And when you don't comply with the expectations that the boss has set for everyone then you are out of line. Finally, the President of this company and one of the vice presidents in the parent corporation is in fact both of those things. Those are not just 'claims' or titles used to entice potential employees into working for him. We went to a conference and actually saw how the company is run and the success that the people who are driven can achieve. All the entry positions at different branches all over the nation knew who he was because he has worked hard and invested years into building his company into what it is today. Yes you do get paid commission, but when you are at an event all day and there is no one to monitor whether or not you are doing your job, then the only way that makes sense to compensate the people is commission. For all the owner knows you could be getting your hair and nails done instead of working and he'd have to pay you to do leisure activities. That's not fair to him or to you. That teaches you to be lazy and basically scum. So if you want a job that pays you a flat rate and you don't want to work hard this is not the job for you, just like it wasn't for the EX employee who posted this bogus report.
