Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was in need of a personal loan so I had applied to a bank in which I already have an existing loan through. My application was then denied and following the recent 'denial' I was contacted via phone by this "Applefield Services".  Once I was contacted I became suspicious and immediately informed my existing bank and they stated that there are companies out there who apparently pay for a service to collect the contact info of people who were just refused any sort of loan request.  I continued my curiosity about this company and began performing searches on the internet about them; everything seemed to check out according to my friend and I.  In any case I continued with their "services" and upon receiving the loan agreement, which was faxed to my at my local "Staples" I read over the loan agreement and signed off on the agreement.  From that point on all went array!

They (Applefield Services) had explained to me that since my credit report was low I was subject to pay an "initial security payment" in the amount of $885.00 in which was to cover the first five months on my 'loan'.  When I had agreed to the payment and borrowed money from my own family and friends, A.S instructed me to take the money to my local western union and make the deposit there.  On top of that they instructed me to, " grab the green form and send it to their broker in Canada".  They gave me some arbitrary name in Canada to use so that this all seemed like I knew that person and would not be charged AS MUCH as opposed to sending it to a business.  I sent the money, waited 24 hours for my loan to be direct deposited, and never was.  NOTE: In most cases like mine they will then ask for a payment for a "basic insurance policy" which fortunately for me I had already filed a police report and they had informed me of this happening; so I 'make believed' that I did and... well yea they were pissed!! LOL
