Because the company name changed, and a acct is being reported to the credit bureau, in most instances the credit bureau (Eqifax, TRW & trans union-we report to all 3) will take this as a seperate account it is simply a coding error. All you have to do is disput the double or triple posted acct with your credit bureau. Don't be a moron. Your real problem was with insurance and not being able to get them to process the checks in time. Whate do you excpect a company to do? You signed a collateral loan, and payments were not being received, so no pay no car. Pretty simple huh?

These assholes have violated Federal Law by reporting three repo's on one vehicle. Sue them for all monies that you or your insurance provider paid these scumbags and for punitive damages as well. Don't know if you will have any recourse in getting the repo removed from your credit file but, it MUST be removed after 7 years unless the creditor reinstates it. Find yourself a legbiter (lawyer) that will work on a contingency basis ONLY. In other words, if he doesn't win, you don't pay. If you can document what you are saying here, you should not have any problem winning a judgement against these thieves. Good luck and keep us posted!! Larry Tampa, FL
