I am also a tenant at Casa Madrid Apts in Anaheim. Soon after moving in, I immediately started to regret my decision as their parking service, Parking Network Solutions, placed a boot on my car (in my own carport) after just living their less than 2 weeks! I had mailed my registration in but Parking Network Solutions claimed they did not receive it. They forced me to pay 125.00 just to unboot my car.

Dealing with PNS was a nightmare as was trying to get help with the management office regarding the situation. Calling the property management office for help was just as pointless, as it was obvious that nobody cared. It is clear that this is just a revenue source for Arnel and PNS. After sending another regristration fee, just two weeks later, my car was ticketed for non-registered car. After calling, they agreed that they had my money and told me to disregard the ticket. Two weeks after that, they rebooted my car and claimed they did not rememeber telling me to disregard the tickets, and booted my car because I had not paid the ticket 30.00 fine.

After spending 8 hours arguing with them on the phone, TY, the rep I spoke to originally, finally admitted that he might rememeber telling me this and they agreed to unboot my car. All of this after an entire day without my car.

When I first moved into the apartment, I was told that they are very selective about their tenants, and do not allow vagrants or suspicious persons walking around. Soon after moving in, the apartment became filled with these type of people, a condition which has become worse every month. Also, packs of kids run around in droves, apparently not supervised by their parents.

Since moving in, I have heard of numerous reports of constant car break-ins, of which the management freely explained were from their tenants living next door at the Arnel property owned "The Villager" but they could do nothing about it. This has made me quite uneasy and wonder each day if I will walk out to a car that has been broken into.

The apartment itself is dark and dreary, with an air conditioner that does cool more than 3 feet. The stove was not the same as the model they showed me, which had a beautiful new stove. My stove was an old relic, of which I doubt any of the employees themselves would want to own. There is also a bad dust problem, as dust collects in large amounts everywhere, as I suspect since the complex is so old, (built in the 1970's) there is a vacuum like effect bringing the dust in. Also, the entire apartment leans to one side, and cabinets and refrigerators swing shut when opened.

The management staff (of which constantly changes) are all-promising do-nothings with vapid expressions and phony manners. (especially Kim.

I cannot express enough NOT TO RENT with any Arnel management property. As you will regret it and then be stuck with NO recourse.
