Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I do not have anything good to say about the piece of a crap phone the UL40, not anymore.  This phone is a piece of s***.  It has more problems than every hooker in the world past, present, and future that has JOHNS. In less than 1 month I have had several replacement phones for various reasons.  With each telephone, I have had more than 11 problems and sending subscribers defective refurbished phone is ridiculous. Actually, as far as I am concerned, it is fraudulent activity.

Here's a list of problems with this piece of s**t phones.

1) Cannot send or receive text messages. A very fast error message that is constantly blinking me to close the app and yet I cannot read the message.

2) I cannot receive or make phone calls because the error message says that the phone app has stopped. Close app.

3) The phone overheats.  I do not believe in putting the phone in the freezer, now I am seriously considering it. One phone got so hot that it burned my hand and I dropped the phone and cracked the screen. This is a major safety issue.

4) This phone is not charging properly. It should not take 4 hours just to charge to 26%.

5) While on the phone with my Dr, the phone rebooted and the call was disconnected.

6) The phone will re-activate several times a day.

7) One phone could not be activated

8)The settings app error message pops up and says Setting apps has stopped. Close app.

9) I cannot access the featured apps because it flips back to the home screen.  I had to disable it.

10)The sound recorder does not work. If you can record something, on playback the sound is barely audible.

11) When making a call, the calls do not connect. It rings to the point it will disconnect the call. The other party has a VM and this phone will not connect to it.

12) When making a call, it does not ring to the point that the other party knows it is receiving a call.

13I have done a couple of resets and that solution only lasted a couple of days.

14) While charging the phone, the battery will run out and the phone will shut down.  It takes up to 10 minutes for the phone to come on and up to 45 minutes for the screen to change from American Network Solutions to Assurance Wireless and then that is another 45 minutes to 1 hour.  If there is a fire or if I need an ambulance or need to call the police I AM SCREWED.

I am questioning why Sprint/Virgin Wireless continues to do business with a company that promotes quality wireless phones while in reality this a fraudulent fly by night scheme that is allowed to continue to do business with the Federal Government this allowed to ripoff the taxpayers.   **To Sprint/Virgin Wireless it has come down to where thousands of people who subscribe to your Lifeline program is wondering why government/legal action has not been taken against your companies.

Software Issues With the Phone

As others who have responded have indicated more than once, you are clearly pointing out you have a bad cell phone.  It's time for you to go and get a new one.  Now, the wireless company has nothing to do with the performance of the actual phone.  Other than some coverage issues, Sprint is not much different than ATT, Verizon, or any other company that provides wireless services.  Appealing to the government is useless, and let's understand why:

I am questioning why Sprint/Virgin Wireless continues to do business with a company that promotes quality wireless phones while in reality this a fraudulent fly by night scheme that is allowed to continue to do business with the Federal Government this allowed to ripoff the taxpayers.  Sprint/Virgin is allowed to sell whatever phones it wishes to.  It is civil servants within the Federal Government (the FCC in particular) that direct the wireless carriers like Sprint, as to which phone will be subsidized in some fashion by the taxpayer to the taxpayer in need.  Now, the civil servants are career employees that have worked for the FCC for many years, and they alert the carriers as to which phones are covered.  Accordingly, it is the Federal Government that for years has allowed this to go on, so the FCC is obviously complicit in the process, so how could the Feds even begin to initiate action against a telecommunication company for which they're the guilty party?  Answer:  It can't.  All of these issues pre-date well before 2016....so it has nothing to do with the current President, and the previous President wouldn't be responsible either.  These are your government employees in inaction.

The importance of a phone in your case is high - perhaps more so than the average person.  It therefore becomes your responsibility, given your situation, to select a phone that serves your needs, not one based on cost.  I mean this is your life and you are the one that must prepare in case of an emergency.  If one of the phones the government subsidizes isn't a choice, then a non-subsidized phone is your only solution and given your condition, a requirement.

I forgot to add to my complaint.  I have missed several appointments from my oncologist and other surgeons for my cancer treatment and surgeries.

To the 2 rebuttals, think before you do the Trump christian B.S.

Very hypocritical of you.  I paid taxes just like everyone else.  I am sad to say that I have the very disease that you are, it is called CANCER. If you read the problem instead of being a judgemental gutter snipe xtian, you would have understood.  As for the internet, it is none of your business if I used someone's internet.

Stop being a drain on the people in the nursing home, try to develop some compassion and character. By the way, you are a soulless bundle of animal cunning and you will end up in my condition.  Let's see how judgmental you will be then. KARMA will be a major b**** in your life.

BTW, if you did your research instead of showing how much of a jacka**, you would have to know that President Reagan approved this program for people that you look down on and that included broadband internet and landline phone service.

Well, let's see worthless christian.  I am unable to work due to Cancer.  What is your reason for thinking so stupid? The truth to the matter is that you and I have both paid for the programs and stop blaming Obama.  Take it via seance with President Reagan who approved this program in the first place.

Send the phone BACK and request a new one. Even better - if you can afford internet you can afford a pay as you go phone. I used to get these phones for my nursing home residents who paid taxes for years! They deserve the phones because they need to keep in touch with family. IF you don't work or prefer to live off the taxpayers then guess what - you don't deserve to have luxuries like a cell phone and internet.

Buy a phone that works

I don't understand why there are free phones to anyone at all.

If you need a phone, buy one that works. Pay for your own cell phone service. Problem solved.
