I received 2 VIP complementary tickets to "Achieving Excellence Conference" to be held in Cleveland, Ohio, June 14, 2005 8:00 - 5:30. The tickets were supposedly $149 value, each. I also heard this conference being advertised on a local talk radio station, but the ad said bring your whole branch/group for only $20 per group, if reservations were made in advance. Otherwise $149 at the door.

Scheduled in-person speakers are supposedly Steve Young (49ers), Scott O'Grady (F-16 Hero), Ken Jennings (Jeopardy winner), and Stephen R. Covey (author/speaker). Invitation was signed by Reed West, President of "Achieving Excellence".

I did a reverse address lookup on whitepages.com found 6 companies all listed at that address, but not "Achieving Excellence". I don't know what this group's angle is, but I'm sure it includes separating many people from their money. A google search also turned up Reed West in another posting on this website for a different famous speaker conference. Beware!

I always come here before doing/signing up for anything! Can't tell you how much money this site has saved me. I received an invitation to the Sacramento Community Center May 20. Steve Young (49er quarterback) is supposed to speak. Now, I went to school with Mr. Young and he was "my" college qb. (Was Mormon, entirely different ripoff report there!) From what I know of him, he is a decent sort. is a fairly comprehensive list of real estate training seminars; which ones are valid and which ones are ripoffs. Since I don't want to fight traffic, etc. to drive 40 miles to see this event (8:00 a.m. start time!), I'll pass, but it will be interesting to see how it went at the Women's Conference. CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.

I just got an invitation to a 'womens conference' from the same address, where Sarah Fergeson is supposed to speak. It is an all day conference promising to teach me many things about real estate investment, and how to retire in 2 - 5 years with a cash flow of $9100 a month. We get a free book at the conference written by David Bach, called Smart Women Finish Rich. I just called to reserve my seats for my 'free tickets', instead of paying the same $149 you talk about at the door. The Millionaire Conference is the main company, and they target different 'named' audiences with their several products, which one can purchase at the end of a free conference. Hence, the conference I am invited to is called the 'Womens Conference', targeting women. During the conference one learns many strategies and suggestions for making money. At the end of the conference, yes, they offer a further course of action for money. I personally don't know of anything new that would possible turn me into a millionaire that would take just a day to learn, plus I don't know why anyone would want to travel the nation week after week training thousands of people all for free, when those people have to eat too. So, after speaking to a nice young lady at the 800 number, and telling her that 'rip-off' has them tagged as a 'rip-off', she was happy to give me this information, and was not at all 'defensive', just informative, and said that I would learn many tactics for making money in the real estate marketplace, which I am already in, and that I should expect that I would be offered further 'training' which would certainly be offered for a 'price'. This was no surprise to me, and, in fact, what I did expect, and, in fact, look forward to. I will write back after my free conference on May 23, 2006 and let you know if the free conference was beneficial and if Sarah Ferguson actually did speak at the conference. I asked about the address, and in fact, when I looked the address up on the internet, found many, many companies working out of that address...better than finding just one, lol, and finding out that it was someone's house. For more information on Reed West's schemes see report filed under "American Training Conference" which promotes a seminar on "Total Asset Protection" Teh letter I received claims you need his help because the average American is sued FIVE times!! Come on---can you think of anyone anyone who's been sued, or been sued more than once?

Even though I disagree with the way you came to your conclusions, I do agree with one thing, this is a get rich quick plan. I found real evidence supporting my theory at this website http://www.backchannelmedia.com/newsletter/story/7295430000/Investment_Seminar_Promises_Ge.html or found by googling "reed West" Provo Utah. I hope this helps those of you who are wondering about the validity of your invitations

I am from Provo Utah. You state that because you "did a reverse address lookup on whitepages.com found 6 companies all listed at that address, but not "Achieving Excellence". " you concluded that you're "sure it includes separating many people from their money." I would just like to make a statement that the office buildings at 2483 N Canyon Road have many different companies that rent spaces from them. For instance one of the companies that show up on the reverse search is "Point du Ciel" in that particular building is also offices for Pre-paid Legal. I know this for a fact, because I have been there many times, and have a friend who worked there. According to your arguments, if a company doesn't show up in an address search then it must not exist. That is simply not true and Pre-paid Legal disproves your theory. I am not saying that "Achieving Excellence" is or isn't an actual company, but I am saying that you need to have better proof before you start accusing companies or people of fraudulent activities.
