DONT BELIEVE THEIR TV AD'S ABOUT BROADBAND & NOT REQUIRING A HOME PHONE
I called their subscription number to get broadband, the "customer service" rep absolutely refused to provide service witout my taking a home phone. I told them a total of 4 times " I do not want a home phone" each time that was ignored and they went into the description of another plan. Having to have broadband service, I finally had to agree to a home phone installation. Long and short of it was over $200 for connect and set up, and requiring an additioal deposit of $100 for charges of around $300 for what was supposed to be a $24 a month service. Since I am not in an area where I can access other services there was nothing I coud do but go along with it. I am 71, retired, and on a very limited income, and their tricks have really hurt me.
AT&T used to be one of America's most prestigious companies, now it appears to be run by a bunch of rip off con artists that make used car salesmen seem like chiorboys.
