My husband and I have been retired and living in Costa Rica for the past two years. AT&T has been charging us $10.00 a day for (4) devices, for an International Day Pass. We do NOT use AT&T here in Costa Rica, we use the local phone service called Kolbi. We have Kolbi SIM cards installed on all our devices and do NOT use AT&T at all. Yet every month we are being charged over $260.00 a month.
The only reason we still have AT&T is because when we do go back to the United States, we can swap out the Kolbi SIM card and use our AT&T SIM card without extra charges. However, we have not gone back to the U.S. since January and we have been charged these fees since November of 2022. This is the second time this has happened with AT&T. The first time they gave us a full refund, but within two months they started charging us again. We reached out to Fiorella Webb who works in the Office of the President (John Stankey), and have not heard back. AT&T is ignoring us, and being retired we can't afford to continue giving them this unwarranted amount of money every month.
