AT&T Long Diatsnce ripoff by overcharging calls without any notification Atlanta Georgia
In Nov.,2002,I switched my long distance carrier from AOL to AT&T on a plan of 7 cents per minute,24-7. This was don around the middle of the month. I was ,seemed like immediately, billed $4.52, due the 22nd of Nov., which was paid on Dec. 1. I pay bills on the first of each month, told them this which fell on DEAF ears.
Then when I got my bill for Dec., AT&T had cancelled our plan on Dec. 4 WITHOUT any notification which shot the cost for calls up to 3 to 5 times the plan agreed upon. This covered Christmas when we called our family members in other states. What should have been about $10 ended being around $30-$35.
This is the MOST UNETHICAL business dealing I can ever remember having to deal with. I plan on paying my bill but this kind of junk is nonsense. Any help will be appreciated. I have now changed my carrier to BellSouth which is my local phone company and will receive one bill and at the same cost- 7cents,27-7, and not have to mess with AT&T.
