AURORA LOAN SERVICES Unorganized, Incompetent and Dishonest!!!! Scottsbluff, Nebraska
I have been trying to get a loan modification from Aurora Laon Services since September, 2008 after my mortgage fel; behind due to emergency repairs needed on my home.
The first time I applied they rejected me because I didn't send in a sales contract. I found out that one of their data entry people had miscoded my application as a "Short Sale" instead of a laon modification.
The second time JANUNARY, 2009 one of their data entry people transposed numbers on my financial statement. When I disputed them (particularly the $900 per month they claimed I spent for groceries which was $300). They refused to changed the errors and denied me saying I couldn't afford my home. Mind you I was on this work out plan that had me paying a my regular payment and 300 extra. I asked what I should do and the repsonse was "keep making your monthly payment).
Well I called a HUD counselor at this point and together we spoke to them resent the loan modifictaion package for the THIRD TIME JUNE, 2009 and we we assured of and answer in October, 2009.
October came and went so I called them again. It is now November, 2009. This time I was told that the underwriter that was handling my account was fired and that I would have to apply for a Loan Modification all over again. This is the FOURTH TIME. I sent in my application package again only this time I specified the terms that I would like to see giving them several options. I also refused to make my payment until I receive an offer.
It's been 5 days and guess what I got in the mail today...an invitation to attend an upcoming HOPE NOW Alliance outreach conference coming to my town on December 5th. They claim someone from ALS will be there to help me...RIGHT!!!!
Well I have an appointment with an attorney on December 3rd. I think a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT should be pursued.

Hi,
I live in Oxford MI & have a loan with Aurora as well. I've been on their trial period twice since May 2009. First Time, they lost my documents (which tey found after taking me of the program), second time they told me (on Dec. 1st- when I called to make my last payment) that my investor (they didn't want to tell me the name) rejected it because my house is up side down. I forced them to tell me who the investor was (Feannie Mae)
I called the investor & told them the story. I also called HUD (which was recommended by the investor not the mortgage company). Investor has to investigate & it will take approx. 3 weeks to get back with me. HUD rep went over my numbers & said that he doesn't see any reason why I wouldn't be eligible for the program. He also told me that the answer Aurora gave me doesn't make any sense, because having a house that's up side down (you owe more than what it's worth) is one of the pre-qualifications.
I filed an official complaint with:

White House
This Monday I will be calling Attorney General in Michigan, Nebraska & Colorado, US District Attorneys, all my Senators, Trift Supervision Dept, FDIC, BBB of Michigan, Nebraska & Colorado
I will find an attorney to file a class action lawsuit, let me know if you're interested.
