Avalon Resorts Mexico Scam on Timeshare. San Diego California
Our family was offered a timeshare with Avalon Resorts in Acapulco. We were promised a certain amount of weeks in a package, and we signed the contract.We started paying what was stipulated, but when we tried to use our first week, we noticed in the contract that less weeks were given to us than those we were promised.
We stopped payment, of course. We demanded from the company to explain why we were lied to. They simply say we signed, and we're forced to keep paying, and that they're sending the lawyers.
This is outraging. We haven't enjoyed any of the things we signed up for in the contract, so in reality, they owe us.We have contacted the mexican authorities, but they say that we signed, so we're stuck with that.
We just want to stop the contract. We don't know if we have a chance to recover what we invested.
If there is anyone that can help us deal with this scammers, we would greatly appreciate it. We have our hands tied because we live in Mexico, and it is not fair these kinds of people are ripping off naive people who have a drem of vacationing in a nice place... thank you.
