Bank One/Wachovia/First USA My request to speak with a supervisor was denied and I was informed their was NO ONE in the company that could reverse this surprise increase! Wilmington Delaware
I've had my account with Wachovia since 1979. I was always given the lowest interest rate available because I have always had PERFECT credit.
When Bank One took this account from Wachovia, I found a tiny paper enclosed in my statement called a "Change In Terms" disclosure which stated they COULD increase the rate at their discretion unless I submitted a letter rejecting these terms. Since I indeed rejected such absurdity, I immediately sent the letter.
Guess What!?! It was a waste of time. My rate nearly TRIPLED on my next statement! I immediately called (so-called) customer service and the woman I spoke with was beyond rude and basically said tough *#@! the rate had changed and they would not lower it again.
My request to speak with a supervisor was denied and I was informed their was NO ONE in the company that could reverse this increase! I have cancelled my account and once I have it paid off I will never do business with Bank One again!
Thank God for this site so at least others can be warned!
