Although I have not physically worked for this company I was due to attend an interview this morning. I thought it would be a good idea to research the company before I went to my interview just so I had some knowledge on the company itself. I am so glad I did! After I googled "Belfast sales Academy" the first result that popped up was two bad reviews. I thought to myself, that's only two people I'm sure it's not that bad. I then realized the owners/managers had the same name as previous names of the company and there was nothing else to be found. No website No contact details No social media pages-nothing.
After more research I have found that the name they have currently has only changed the beginning of this year. They change their name every time they have too many bad reports. Now... the job I applied for was a sales representative-office based near portadown. However, what they don't tell you is that it is actually door to door sales. They say you will earn a minimum of 16,000 plus commission that is uncapped Monday to Friday's... sounds like a dream right? Wrong! What they don't tell you is that you will be self employed so you're not covered for sickness etc. they say you get paid 8.25 per hour... work that out, that's certainly more than around 45 hours per week. Something's not quite right! It may sound like a dream but don't do it- it's a scam!
