Would you buy 3 neck ties for about $118? Well, that's what I am being charged for at Belisi Clothiers/Palm Beach Patterns and can change the terms in many ways so they can rip you off!!

I received an advertise from this Belisi Clothiers/Palm Beach Patterns company via e-mail offering 3 ties for $3 each and this "deal" end on that day. It sounded fair enough as a deal so I placed an order and with handling & shipping I paid $16.95. I didn't have chance to read the offer terms because it was the end of the day when I received the mail so I was rushing for the deadline.

The next day I received the exact same e-mail offer except the offer ends that current day. Suspiciously, I went back reading the terms and learned that I have to buy 3 more ties with the price of $29.99 for each every month after that.

I emailed to them and asked for a cancellation of the order I placed just a day ago. They told me that I cannot cancel it because they already send it out which was not true. They didn't send my order until the fourth day. They also said that they will charge me $71.45 for cancellation. I had no choice but keep the order but when they sent me another tie in the next month, I didn't open it and send back as a refused order. They still charged my account for $29.99 because of the NEW term they added after receiving my refused order.

I had to cancel my credit card to stop them from charging more. After about a year, I receive a Delinquency Reminder from a bill collector saying I owe $71.45 from this Belisi Clothiers/Palm Beach Patterns.

I have paid a total of approximately $47 for 3 cheap valued ties which I wouldn't buy for more than $3 each. I thought that was lesson I have to pay for didn't read the terms thoroughly before ordering but when the bill collector sent me $71.45 that is way out of line.

I don't want to waste more of my time on money as I have already had on this company but I needed to make things clear. First of all, I didn't return and was stuck with the introductory package because when I emailed to ask for a cancellation of the order I placed A DAY ago, I got a reply from one of the customer services said they have already sent the package out and there will be a charged of $70+ for cancellation which this Belisi rebuttal employee has not mentioned. In other words, they give 10 days to return items for a refund of $9 but they will charge $70+ and shipping cost. Tell me what would you do if you in that situation?

Secondly, this Belisi's rebuttal employee was totally WRONG or LIED when he said To date the merchandise has not been returned to us and an additional shipment was refused by the customer which he was refunded for, his credit card was cancelled and the obligations he agreed to remain unfulfilled.

I DID have returned the unopened merchandise back to Distribution Center 2620, Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207 (the warehouse?) soon after I got that package. I KNEW that they would say they didn't receive my refused package so I went to the post office to drop and paid for the Certificate of Mailing from USPS as a proof. Three weeks after that I cancelled my credit card because I don't want this company automatically charge my credit card and send me another neck tie that I have NO IDEA what it would look like. In three weeks, this company could have made a refund on my credit card or so to my mailing address but they DIDN't. Almost a year past, I have NOT heard one word from this company or any refund. Instead, I recently got a bill from the collector said I owe money from this company. It must be a JOKE!!! You mean I HAVE to pay more than $118 for those 3 cheap neck ties??????

You WON'T get another dime from me. I rather pay for consumer lawyers who could shine some lights on your shady scams for goodness sake!

***This is a WARNING for those trustful costumers out there***

BE WARNED!!! Do NOT make any purchase from this Belisi Clothiers/Palm Beach Patterns for these reasons:

1. They are DECEPTIVE: They will try many ways to ripping you off. They're extending the offer deadlines to every single day on the calendar to get your attentions and once your credit card numbers has entered... you are trapped, you are their victims financially and emotionally! Oh, and don't forget to read their fine printed terms, you wouldn't want to buy anything after reading them. Even if you did, be WARNED that those terms are going to be different every time you check.

2. They PREY on your TRUST and WEAKNESSES: As a busy college student, I felt into their trap for not reading the terms and I have learned the lesson the hard way. They emailed me to my school email address which I don't get any junk advertising mails. They must have gotten from the school's website. I wonder how many other students and elderly people they have been ripping off especially in Florida?!

3. They are .... I'll let other customers filling in the rest!

With the Belisi Necktie Club, you get an introductory shipment at a huge discount, up to 95% off. Once you receive the introductory shipment, you have 10 days to review it. If you are not satisfied, you are asked to simply return the introductory shipment (plus any free gifts) and you will be given a full refund. By keeping the introductory shipment, a customer indicates to us that they are satisfied with our products and that they accept the terms of the Belisi Necktie Club.

Upon acceptance of the package all we asked of our new members at the time was to fulfill an additional 2 purchase obligation of our Belisi Neckties at $24.50 or more plus shipping, handling and processing. This would be an average cost of $11.60 per tie under the club membership savings. After this purchase agreement was fulfilled they are free to cancel their membership at anytime.

This customer contacted us to cancel his account after his Introductory Package was shipped and was told that the account could not be cancelled, to return the Introductory Package for a full refund as stated in our terms and his account would be cancelled.

To date the merchandise has not been returned to us and an additional shipment was refused by the customer which he was refunded for, his credit card was cancelled and the obligations he agreed to remain unfulfilled. Therefore as per our policies in this case, the customer ends up being responsible for the retail cost of ties; as he did not fulfill the membership obligations that he agreed to when he placed his order. He was offered to return the Introductory Package for a refund and cancellation of his obligations and he did not do so.

When a customer purchases our ties on our website without the membership obligations, they visit our online store and can purchase our ties at retail value which is 30% higher than the prices we offer out ties to our club members. In addition we do not offer a package of 3 ties for $3.00 each to our non club members. This package is offered only to our club members and those who wish to join our club and receive the additional savings. Our online store
is dedicated for those who do not wish to be involved in a club requiring additional purchases, the drawback is for many customers, they do not receive the significant discounts that our club members will receive when joining our club . That being said, we do at times receive orders for our Introductory packages from dishonest individuals who take advantage of this discount, receive the merchandise, keep it and never intend on fulfilling the obligations that they agreed to when placing their order.


This customer claims: I didn't have chance to read the offer terms because it was the end of the day when I received the mail so I was rushing for the deadline.

All of our customers are required to agree to the following terms by manually checking the following statement: I have read and agree to the offer terms for joining the Belisi Necktie Club.
If you do not manually check this statement with your mouse; you cannot proceed to place your order.

Why should this customer not be charged or held responsible for the exact same amount that any other individual ordering from our site without the club membership would be charged? We charge the retail cost of the ties to our non club members. Therefore, because this customer did not fulfill his obligations as a club member, he is charged as if he is a regular retail customer. Not reading the offer terms does not entitle him to receive a special price that we do not even extend to our most Loyal customers

Customer states; I didn't open it and send back as a refused order. They still charged my account for $29.99 because of the NEW term they added after receiving my refused order.


Customer indeed was charged for the additional shipment prior to it being shipped, but what he neglects to inform his audience is that he was refunded for this order, as it was returned to us a month later. There also was no so called new terms
applied to this customers account; his account was handled according to the obligations that he agreed to prior to placing his order.

He states he did not read the obligations as he was in a rush, well,

First of all;

If he read them then he would have been aware of the terms of the membership and the additional shipments involved in accepting Our Introductory Order.

Secondly, If he didn't read them, as he claims in his complaint, then how would he know if there were new terms' applied to his account when he states he didn't read them to begin with.

Customer additionally states;

This customer needs to first get his story straight and check his credit card for the refund issued to him as he has not paid what he claims. Looking at the facts, he currently has paid a total of $9.00 + shipping and handling totals ($16.95) for a package sold to our non club members at $74.50. Without the agreement of the additional obligations he has an outstanding balance remaining on his account. This customer has made a decision and exercised his right by refusing to fulfill the obligations and keeping the merchandise, our right which we are exercising is the ability to pursue collection attempts for merchandise that was shipped to him and not paid for in full.

Please understand that this is a one time reply from this department and no further issues will be addressed in regards to this claim.
