BERNARD HALDANE & ASSOCIATES WEIRD SNEAKY deceptive company Portland Oregon
Almost went to the second meeting with my wife -- Whew! Missed that one -- They wanted to know how many children I had, how old I was etc.... Meet with a person named Walt who seemed nice enough but something didn't feel right -- Said I was underpayed and kept on telling me I had no idea what I was worth /salary wise (even though I know that I make a salary that is in the top tenth percentile for my occupation)
The office itself looked fine but it was located in an older/cheap building and the reps office was too clean and didn't look worked-in -- Definately looked like a put-on and felt like I was back in my late teens meeting with Amway or Primamerica selling dreams and Multi-level-marketing nightmares
After the initial meeting I decided to look on the Web and was quite shocked (I was thinking the fee would be a certain percentage of the salary at the new job, but no, most people say it is an upfront fee of $5,000+!!!!).
Few things in this world are worth that kind of upfront money -- Luckily I only lost an hour of time plus fifty cents for the meter maid --
