I am reporting a number of complaints againts Best Buy and Geek Squad acquired from several military and veteran persons.  This reports included the familiy members of the service men/women and veterans.  

Beware of being taken in by false promises by Best Buy.  And especially the Geek Squad, which has become a huge money maker for a failing Best Buy brand.  While the retail is lacking, the Geek Squad and Computer sales and services thrive.  It has been discovered that the increase of revenue is due to untrue reports, diagnoses, and charges for repairs that are primarily caused by back room GeekSquad employee's.

A late report was on a 72 year old veteran that had his hard drive erased and corrupted by GeekSquad while he was at their location in Alituke Arizona.  He took his older laptop in for show and tell to get recomendations on a new laptop with equal or better system operations.  He purchased a new laptop and his life went downhill.  (1.) GeekSquad took his old Hard Drive to the back room to insert it into a remote Hard Drive case.  They returned to tell himmthat his Hard Drive was empty.  But, for and initial $50.00 they would send it out to their recovery department and for an additionbal $250.00 they could recover his files.  

When he got his Hard Drive back the files were defiantely deleted and the others corrupoted.   Five  (5) years of writings, pictures and other documents GONE! 

From January 26, 2016 to March 17, 2017 (14) months.  They lied to him and made promises to correct the problem.  He also discovered the new LapTop thatbthey sold him was inferior to his needs and was a computer they were selling off at low prices to rid it from their inventory, it was outdated left over stock.  

He wrote a letter to Hubert Joly CEO and has not been contacted!   His losses are significant and Best Buy has BULLIED their CORRUPT business practices to cause him thelosses.  

Beware other Veterans and Miklitary Persons and Families.  

This ordeal will likely be presented outside of the store to other prospective customers to warn them to be cautious, due to a number of other complaints from military, veterans and their families of being dishonored and ripped off by Best Buy !

HUBER JOLY AND HIS EXECUTIVES HAVE IGNORED THE VICTIMS REQUESTS FOR DAMAGES !

There is NO Response to a HATEFUL person like you!  And Especially one whose JOB is responding to Corporate America Complaints with LIES and HATE to TWIST the RIGHTS of the VICTIM!   I Have Read the written documents of over a years collection, I have listened to lawful call recordings between Best Buy and the VICTIM and the complaints is 100% true.  By the way Geek Squad removed the Hard Drive from the older laptop not the customer.  And it is documented that Geek Squad went through the old Hard Drive with the Customer to become familiar with the work needs of the customer to recomend the new computer to take over.   I have spoke with Geek Squad alongside the Customer to Validate the damage and corruption.

 

So blow Your Response UP your NOSE and Keep Your nose out of others business, UNLESS you are willing to meet FACE to FACE !

 Why is it that Veterans have the BIGGEST self entitlment problems?? Firstly, since this DID NOT happen to YOU DIRECTLY then EVERYTHING you have posted in a public forum is suspect. Its called HEARSAY!! YOU heard a story and took it at face value. Secondly, since this DID NOT happen to YOU, YOU cannot say with 100% accuracy that the tale you were told was in fact 100% TRUE!! Lastly, even vets will lie their a$$es off to get their way. In fact when lies and deception dont work vets play the "I fought for your freedoms" "YOU should respect me". SOrry but just because YOU volenteered to join the military doesnt give a pass on YOUR behavours in public.  Some Vets want EVERYTHING handed to them never realizing that THEIR TIME IS DONE!! NOW we live in a different world that no longer cares what YOU did 50 years ago. Or even 20 years ago. Vets are a good people for the most part and my post is NOT to actually bash Vets. I have a ton of vets in my family but NONE of them pull stuff like this. Maybe let the individual who this ACTUALLY happend to tell the story. ATleast it would be first hand information. What YOU have done WILLINGLY is SPREAD DEFAMATION!!! So YOU fought for our freedoms but the moment YOU get upset those freedoms go right out the window in favor of YOUR issue. Thats one hell of a double standard there buddy and YOU should REALLY be ashamed of yourself. YOU who SUPPOSEDLY fought for our freedoms do your utmost best to take away those freedoms from someone YOU DONT LIKE!!!! I hate to say it but it sounds very "hitlery" of YOU. WHERE is the HONOR? WHERE is the PERSONAL HONOR? I guess if youre a vet FREEDOM is something you fought for but have ZERO reguard for. There are MANY reasons a hard drive fails. Sometimes just removing a hard drive can cause an issue. But YOU who fought for our freedom cant see ANYTHING past YOUR IGNORANCE. WE all know that PEOPLE LIE!!! More importantly THEY LIE because THEY dont want to look bad to other people. Odds are that the person who took their original computer in had actually FRIED thier hard drive but didnt realize they had. Then once its found out that the drive is dead, its MAGICALLY Best Buys fault. Reality is that at 72 years old that person did something to damage their equipment. Then when its found they have to PAY to get their stuff off the drive, the vet cards come out. Did YOU ever think that the people YOU were speaking with were speaking from a point of IGNORANCE?? But YOU just gobbled it all up and place the blame on someone who is more then likely INNOCENT!!All because YOU would rather believe the person who couldnt fight their way out of a hard drive instead of the people who have TRAINED to do that job. YUP!!! I guess YOU have a VERY losse definition of freedom.
