BEST BUY's Sept. 13 Sunday flyer depicts the "Wolverine" DVD at $15-and-change with the words "2-disc Special Edition 22.99" underneath, deceiving buyers into the belief that particular DVD is on sale for the $15-and-change advertised price.

I go in the store and low and behold, no, the low price is the single-disc version. Complaints were met with, "Oh well, nothing I can do."

I wonder how many thousands of people in the US were "baited" into BEST BUYs today (Tues. Sept. 15) only to find they'd been tricked.

I am filing reports with the local BBB and the Texas AG to have this behavior punished! Hopefully there will be a follow-up on their part. Consumers depend on these agencies to protect them from this type of behavior on the part of corporations.

I am also sending a copy of the flyer, my BEST BUY membership card and a letter-of-complaint to the corporation advising them I will NEVER shop BEST BUY again and will tell my friends and all who will listen not to traffic their business.

Hell, I'm so pissed about wasting my time and gas going to the only BEST within 40 miles of me that I might just get a permit and picket them next weekend!!!

Maybe I'm missing something but...

you stated in your ROR that it listed underneath the price for the regular edition that the 2-disc special edition was 22.99.  Did you not see that before you went to get the DVD?  Therefore there was no bait and switch and no rip off.  They had the right price for the special edition in the ad for everyone to see.
I understand you're frustrated because you wasted some gas but they did nothing wrong from what I see.  The employees, while they could have been more tactful, were correct in telling you they couldn't do anything.  If they made an exception for everyone who misread the ad, they'd be opening themselves up to fraud.  There are probably thousands of people that would begin regularly ripping off BB.
