My wife went to Best Car Buys and purchased a 2004 Saturn Vue in February of 2010 for a price of 10,000.  We put 500.00 down and traded in another vehicle we had and financed the remaining balance.   A pick payment was due to us in the amount of 373.00 a couple weeks after the purchase and our payments were 373.00 a month thereafter.   We drove the care for approximately 7 months and noticed some shaking when driving on the highway.  I took the car to have it aligned and all was good, until we took it across country.  while driving on the highway we noticed that the car would shake if you went over 70 mph.  Once we got to our destination the clutch went out and we had to have it replaced for a total of 1,100.00.  At this time the mechanic informed us that the car looked as if it had been in a wreck and we replied no, becasue we had not had any wreck in the car.  Due to his obeservation we did some research and found that the car has a salvaged title and that informaiton was not disclosed to my wife during signing.  When callingBest Car Buys they stated that my wife had signed the disclosure.  However, she didnt even know what a salvaged title was until after I explained it to her.  The sales men took advantage of her because she is a women and didnt inform her what she was sisgning.

After replacing the clutch, noticed it was still shaking took it to the car to menike and was told that the suspension on the front end had problems.  Gues what- due to the car being totaled.  I ended up getting the Sway bar links replaced and was also informed that all the struts needed to be replaced, which totaled approximately 2,000, for all the work.  I decided to get the sway bar's changed so that we had no problems whe driving on the highway.  However we continued to have the shaking on the front-end and it got even worst. it would shake when coming out of 1st.  I tried to trade the car in and all the car dealerships informed me that the care would not be worth anything to them with a salvage title, and if I were to sell it, i would probably only get about 1,500 at the most.  Keep in mind, through all this, I was still making payments ont this car that was giving me problems and owed 6,000.00.

I contacted Best Car Buys and tried to make a deal with them regarding this car, I informed them I would give them 2,000.00 for the title.  I ended up speaking with the finance Manager, who said he had to speak with the owner and would give me a call back, I am still waiting for a call.

" the car has a salvaged title and that informaiton was not disclosed to my wife during signing.   "

That definitely sounds like a ripoff,,,,,But wait!

"   When callingBest Car Buys they stated that my wife had signed the disclosure.  "

So, they gave her a document disclosing that the car had a salvaged title?  What more do you expect them to do?   You clearly stated above that the information was not disclosed.   I think your wife's signature on a disclosure document is calling you a liar.

"   However, she didnt even know what a salvaged title was until after I explained it to her.  The sales men took advantage of her because she is a women and didnt inform her what she was sisgning. "

If it is your opinion that women are not capable of reading or understanding common vehicle sales documents, then why would you send such a person to buy a vehicle?

I see plenty of reports of sleazy car dealers on this site, but this one doesn't cut it.  You are basically claiming that they should have talked your dim bulb of a wife out of buying this car, because she was too stupid to understand what she was signing.   That's not what salespeople do.   That should have been your job.
