Advertises a Continuous Ink System (CIS) where the cartridges in an ink jet printer are replaced with their cartridges, which in turn connect to external ink tanks via thin flexible tubes. The ink tanks hold large amounts of ink and the printer pulls ink from the refillable external tank. The cartridges supplied are supposed to automatically reset to tell the printer they have ink.
However, the system does not work as specified.
1) The ink produces results that are mostly acceptable, but not nearly as good as the manufacturers ink.
2) Much more significantly, the system DOES think it runs out of ink about as often as the regular cartridges, even though there is still ink. To correct this one needs to remove all the cartridges and reinstall, which requires the printer to reprime, which takes at least as long as installing a new cartridge.
Result is that the ink is cheaper, but quality is less, irritation factor is higher, and possibility of catastrophic ink spill is much greater.
The product does not perform as claimed since it says the reset is automatic, but in fact requires complete reinstallation to reset. Manufacturer does not return emails.
