Big Bad Student Travel, Somi Travel Group , Abel & Liza Somilleda Cancelled graduation trip to Mexico that cost $757 and won't return calls or money owed to many students. Redondo Beach California
I paid Big Bad Student Travel (BBST), Somi Travel , Abel & Liza Somilleda, $757 for my son Charles to go to Cancun, Mexico for a senior graduation trip. I received notification that the trip was canceled one day before his flight was to leave from Tampa on June 1st. A full refund was promised promptly.
I have not had any news since. I was informed $500 would be returned within 10 days. I waited and then made phone calls that were not returned, so I contacted my credit card and disputed the charges. I was able to re-coup $657. (The remaining $100 had been paid at the beginning of the school year via a personal check)
Many of my sons fellow students at Lely High in Naples Fl have not been so lucky. One young man is scheduled to go into the Navy to serve the USA in August. Because BBST has not returned his monies, he has not only lost the opportunity for a celebratory vacation with numerous of his classmates due to scheduling conflicts, but he cannot even pay to re-schedule a different trip with his friends. This is not right! They are trying to book trips again for this year! Beware!
