Birch Communications called me to tell me they could lower my long distance charges with ATT. They said I would still have my phone lines with AT&T that they would just be maintaining my long distance charges.
After I agreed to switching the long distance they contacted AT&T and disconnected all of my services! AT&T told me they did not know who had done this as there was no name or phone number associated with the disconnect order.
When I finally got a bill for more than my AT&T charges I immediately called to disconnect the phone lines.
This is a shady company and they kept calling my business number to get me to switch even after I told them to put me on the do not call list.
I messed up but just know that if you get a call to lower your long distance rates with a national phone company that it is most likely a scam and they will take over the entire account and cancel your account with the original phone company. Plus you will not be notified of this until you receive early termination fees etc.
Plus make sure you get the name of the company calling you as well as a phone number or an email address so that you can check them out.
Birch Communications use shady business tactics to get your account.
