For what its worth I would like to share my testimony. My girlfriend and I purchased our first chihuahua in the spring of 2010. On this day, my girlfriend, two other customers, Brendas daughter, and myself all met in Minocqua to recieve our prepaid puppies. In addition to our own, we were also transporting another puppy for a woman that lives in brookfield and was unable to make the 4hr trip up North. These puppies looked very healthy and very much like chihuahuas.
Prior to this day we had much contact with Brenda about our male puppy. She had assured us that he was going to be registered w/papers in hand, and that judging by his breeding he will remain a true teacup. Our litte dog, or our "Son" as we like to say is now 1 year old, very healthy, no vets trips, and weights a little over 2 lbs.
In the fall we decided that we wanted to breed our little guy. We told brenda what we were looking for and she delivered as promised. We got a healthy registered female whom is now 6 months old and has reached an appropriate weight for breeding. Our life revolves around our two kids and I thank Brenda very much.
As to the conditions of Brendas property I can not say I have not seen it. What I do know is that we have had nothing but goodness from our experience with Brenda and are currently trying to fight the urge to purchase a thrid.
P.S. If you think Brenda is a ripoff you havent looked hard enough for a teacup chihuahua.

All good breeders have a health warranty , bks is for one year,
parvo is something that speeds if she did know about it why would she let it around her other dogs risking there lives, he is licensed and all of her dogs have to stay currant on shots,
next time you get a puppy make sure it has seen a vet at least a week before you get it, it might cost you more but its well worth it, also get it vet checked with in 72 hours that way you know if there is a problem,
This protects you as a buyer, read over what the health warranty is before you buy a dog...just caz its cute dont mean its healthy, and parvo should be covered only if you can prove the breeder is at fault if the breeder was then you should be able to receive a new puppy at no cost,
make sure if you get a chihuahua again that the puppy at least has 2 sets of shots before you pick it up and keep all forms of contacted on a sheet of paper...
...and yes i would get a chihuahua from bks

I'm not here to argue with you. I am very sorry to hear about your puppy. Parvo is a horrible disease and I saw many puppies die from it when I interned at the Wisconsin Humane Society. The one comment that I am responding to is the assumption that "you can bet ALL of her puppies have it (Parvo)". I purchased a puppy from Brenda back in May 2010 (so about a month and a half after this post) and he has been the healthiest and happiest little pup I could have ever wished for. The vet gave him a clean bill of health from the get-go, and he is awesome with our rescue dogs and all of my customers since he comes to work with me everyday. I, again, am so sorry to hear about your pup, and I wish you all the best, but I do not regret purchasing my amazing pup from Brenda.

I just read what Brenda Mattson said about our situation with the puppy we bought from her. She is nothing but a sick LIAR, which is evident through the OTHER complaints listed here about her - DUH!

Brenda Mattson is now trying to claim that the puppy I bought from her was never a puppy of hers. I wonder why all the paperwork I have then was signed by HER? I wonder why SHE was the person we handed the MONEY to? If the puppy wasn't YOURS Brenda, why were YOU selling it? Why was it in YOUR possession? Why did YOU post the "for sale" ad online? Why did YOU meet us so that we could look at her to see if we wanted to buy her for sure or not? You did all of this, but want to "claim" that she wasn't one of your puppies? Are you serious?!?!?! I don't know what kind of BS you're trying to pull here - but it sure as heck won't fly....nice try lady!

I am REALLY sorry if this woman really had this terrible problem, I love my own dogs and would be heartsick to lose anyone due to an illness...but, that puppy never even came from me and had NEVER even come from my house!! That was a "pick of the litter" puppy, in exchange of providing the stud service for that breeder...I never had anything to do with her. The people that raised this precious puppy are very nice, clean and loving older couple. This was a CKC puppy and I was only being paid from the sale, I only accept AKC puppies. Funny, but the people that had the puppy still had ALL healthy dogs and puppies, not ONE single sick puppy so I sincerely doubt the Parvo claim. And I know that there has N-E-V-E-R been Parvo on my property EVER!! No proof was ever mailed to either me or the breeder from their vet and I truely believe that this puppy suffered from Hypoglycemia and was brought in to a vet too late, but if there was any tests done then there would also be a vet report to back it, yet we were never shown anything. The woman had the actual breeders info right from the registration papers but yet they wouldn't contact her..why not? I WAS ONLY THE STUD OWNER!!!!
I will say this, if there is proof of Parvo in this puppy that did NOT come from my home, then I will allow this buyer to choose any available puppy from my own personal puppies. Hypoglycemia is a condition that I will not cover because that is preventable.
