I too have had money deducted from my checking without authorization. I had originally requested information concerning Elite Platinum. I never received that information, but was alerted by my bank that a $20.00 deduction from Blue Star Direct had come out of my account. I contacted the 800# that was listed on my bank account and was told that was for the information packet that was sent to me.
Two weeks later, ANOTHER $20.00 was deducted. I called again and was told the same story. I informed them that these were not authorized charges and demanded my money back. The lady on the phone said she could only authorize $20.00 and that I needed to fax a request for the remainder to their accounting department. So I did. Guess what, no response! (Like I'm surprised).
Oh and it will take 7 to 10 days for my money to come back. I will continue calling them until my money is returned and I will update this when ever I call.
Morale - DO NOT try to get information on the Elite Platinum Credit Card. You WILL lose money!
