On February 13 we had to contact brighthouse in regard to our bill.. we set up a payment arrangement where my son was going to pay $452.00 on the 17th and another $257.00 on March 8 on my card. On February 24, i went to go on vacation for the Daytona 500. I checked my bank account on the way over and saw that the $257 was already taken out as soon as my paycheck hit. I was told by my bank they had pinged it every day until the money was there...and they just took it.
We called them that day and was told by Bree that we had to send the proof that it hit my card and would be refunded. I was then told after we sent it that because there was a balance due that they would not refund the money. They were nnot entitled to it until the 8th and they refuse to send it back.
They stalked my card and took it when they felt like it and they are getting away with it. I am filing a dispute with my bank and an attorney

You couldn't pay your bill to Brighthouse and you went on vacation instead? That doesn't sound right to me at all. Bills come first and foremost.
How can you now say that they weren't entitled to it until Mar 8th? You were past due in your payment to them on February 13th. You had to go to your son to make a payment on February 17th because you owed more than $700 to the cable company. That $700 total has to be at least 2 to 3 months in arrears.
I think it is completely irresponsible of you to use the funds for vacation rather than paying your bills. You said you hired an attorney. What do you think is a legal defense to not paying your bills? smh
