Broadway Photo, Broadwayphoto.com Bait and Switch, They sell you the item cheap, but take everything else out of the box. They Sell On Internet Nationwide
On February of 2008, I purchased a camera (Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1A) from Broadway photos by calling the customer service and putting the order. I ordered the camera ($261.00), and included: wide angle lens, 4 Gig high speed memory card, extra extended life battery. I paid by credit card. I requested a faxed order sheet and I was told they can't do that, but it will be included with package. I was given a free 3 day delivery service. Total purhase price $750.
Imagine the Bait and Switch: After 7 days package arrived. I opened the box, there was no extended life battery. There was no 4 Gig high speed memory card, only a slow 2 Gig memory card. I called them and they said, sorry, send us the memory card first, we will send you a new one, it will only take 10 days (that is after they get the other memory card first!).
Re the missing battery, on the first call, the rep said that the only reason I got a good price for the battery was that they take the battery that comes with the camera out and replace it with the extended life battery. I said I paid full price for the extended life battery and no one was supposed to open my camera package in the first place and I wasn't told they do that. By the way, the battery I got was a cheap short life and not extended life! A MAJOR BAIT AND SWITCH PROGRAM.
So the guy said my only choice is to send the battery back and I will get a new one. I said how about my camera battery? he said the weight shows it was included.
Conclusion: DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. You will never get a printout of your order. They acutally do take things out of your package to resell and make more money while replacing the ordered items with other cheap junk. They changed the memory card with a cheap junk. They did not send the extended life battery and the cheap junk battery was not the one the Sanyo had included with the camcorder. (STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE)
