Budget Savers is a scam.  Iwant to make sure they do not deduct any more money from my prepaid credit card.  I have been calling all day to cancel and have not spoken to anyone yet.  I should have known it was a scam but thhey taught me a big lesson.  I will never get scammed again.  They told me I would have a 14 day trial almost 3 weeks ago and I just received the package o  7/18/12 stating they would deduct my first payment on 7/17/12.  I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND THE SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLED!

the person that stated YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT LISTEN

The person that stated " YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT LISTEN " is a PERFECT example of the attitudes of the managers up at Sempris . Susan is a manager there and she spoke just like this with this type of attitude toward me . When I made a short 2 minute concern with a very rational tone she said " SIR - AGAIN , HOW MAY I HELP YOU " after I had already expressed my concern . Just shut me down , told me she was going to go when I began talking again and then as I was speaking another sentence she transferred me to another companies voicemail . Folks , it just does not get more ghetto than the customer service you will get from Sempris .

I second the issue of this company being a scam

Actually after reading alot of reports on how this company has scammed , I am on the phone with Sempris right now trying to make sure a 50.00 Wal Mart card is sent to me because it has been a month and I have received nothing . I am reading report after report of people cancelling and them still charging their cc and giving them no reward for trying the program . WELL , I am on the phone and Susan the SUPERVISOR ( an employee would not reveal the actual companies name ) . She just kept telling me her company name is " member services " . Little did she know I already got their company name from another company that also handles this scam . TMS is the other company name . Anyway so while on the phone with Susan she was very rude right from the start for the short 2 minutes I was on a call with her . She transferred me to another companies voicemail . I called back , she did the same thing . It was very awkward to say the least considering I was just asking for information of who I was dealing with because I was concerned about being scammed myself . Very shady individual and from what I can see very shady company . Anyway ,they are still running these scams apparently and Jacqueline has verified that they are still running the gas voucher scam also . I will be following up step by step regarding this issue to further support those that have been wronged by Sempris . I will also be reporting them to the FCC for misrepresentation of both products offered and company name as well .

To the Employee who Defends this Scam

I believe the writer of the response to this person is the former employee who keeps defending these scammers,

Let me tell you something that you don't want to hear, it is companies like this that scam people and prey on people who order products online or on television.  My mother in law ordered Chillo's and received a phone call, she told them no she didn't want it but they still charged her debt card for this for four months even after phone calls to your company from her bank statement.  On August 23rd she received a letter stating that her account was cancelled but that she would not receive a refund, yet you claim people don't listen.  I was present when the call came in and she told them NO, I don't want it plain and simple yet your scam company stole money out of her account for four months.  We contacted the FTC, Minnesota Attorney General, Georgia Attorney General, and Channel 5 Consumer Reporters about this.  I suggest anyone who has been conned by this company to contact the FEDERAL TRADE Commission and file a complaint at www.ftc.gov as they have a file on them and will investigate this company and if your job is to scam people then find another job that is honest and has integrity to it.  If my 77 year old mother in law don't get her money back I will be taking legal action against them for the full $119.80 and ask that the Department of Justice look into the operations of this company.  I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer and I know what to do to shut down scams like yours.  Find honest work because this company is a joke.

It is about listening

When someone tells you, youre eligible for 100$ "IN" gas vouchers...Yeah it's called listening. They didnt say you're getting a 100$ gas voucher. It's "IN" gas vouchers. And if you flat out ask how to use them they are REQUIRED to tell you. "Buy your gas like you normally would, save the reciept, attach to the voucher and you'll be sent a check back in YOUR name promptly." And if you're too stupid to know what a voucher is and that its a rebate, then that's your own d*mn fault.

You Obviously work for BUDGET SAVERS

Hey,

Don't point the finger at the consumer pal, this person is telling the truth. It happened to me and many others...it's not about "listening", it's about the slimy sales tactic your pathetic company uses. I too never got my gas voucher, and in fact after agreeing to the trial never heard anything from Budgetsavers until after the trial was over. All I got was a measly confirmation of membership which I immediately used to cancel mine. The gas voucher was a lie, when I confronted one of your worthless customer service reps she was stuttering trying to explain it. It is actually a $25 reimbursement good once EVERY THREE MONTHS. Right, I have time to sit around clipping coupons and sending receipts to you morons. It's bad enough trying to deal with the IRS and other more legitimate and necessary red tape. I wish I knew where YOU PEOPLE were so I could personally thank you by strangulation. You make me sick.

I called after receiving info from membersip services and learned that my funds were returned to my card.  Obviously I did not understand the billing information and would like to thank the company for cancelling my subscription and returning my money to my card.

After being offered the Discount Savings Program from a "Fronter" and AGREE, you are sent to a VERIFIER. They confirm you made your as seen on tv purchase, and offer you 3 savings programs.

Now Budget Savers will automatically bill the 1$ introductory fee to the VISA ending in XXXX, within 1-5 days, AFTER the first 14 days UNLESS YOU CALL TO CANCEL, BUDGET SAVERS will AUTOMATICALLY bill the MONTHLY membership fee of 29.95 AT THE SAME TIME EACH MONTH TO THE SAME CARD.

You can CERTAINLEY CANCEL AT ANY TIME by calling the TOLL FREE # 1-800-475-1942. But the 100$ in gas vouchers are yours to keep as a thank you. SO WITH YOUR APPROVAL YOULL BE BILLED UNDER THE TERMS IVE JUST DESCRIBED AND WELL SEND THE MEMBERSHIP MATERIAL TO YOU IN THE MAIL IN WRITING FOR YOU TO ENJOY (a positive ack is given here) Then you are asked to give you credit card number to CONFIRM THE CHARGE.

This is what you people are being told. This company cannot bill you without a POSITIVE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. After the call is processed it is sent to a QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT where a room of about 100 people listen to every single one of these calls with sheets of guidelines. If you say NO. YOU CANNOT BE CHARGED. If you say "thank you, uh huh, mhm. ect.." YOU CANNOT BE CHARGED. The only way youre charged is if you say yes.
