1. You purchased an UNMANAGED VPS...which means security is YOUR responsibility. Of course we provisioned you a basic unsecured VPS!
2. As far as not knowing what we are doing: We are in business nearly 20 years, and are one of the founders of the whole web hosting industry, the co-creater of the budget server industry, one of the largest VPS providers in the entire industry, heavily involved in the original creation/development of the industry standard control panel (CPanel), and have absolutely nothing to prove here. If we don't know what we're doing, then no one in this industry knows what they are doing!
3. You agreed to out TOS/AUP and Service Agreement, which clearly states our policies, procedures, and fee structure. Your lack of response to an abuse notification is not our responsibility, nor our problem. You failed to take action, and we acted per our standard policies---plain and simple. You stated you did not receive an email notification (hosted off our network obviously, since you received notice afterwards you claim), that is not our fault, that once again, is your responsibility.
4. We charge fees for abuse issues ($50) when a client does not take action in a reasonable amount of time, or atleast notify us of such in the works, to motivate clients to do so, and also to cover our costs for having to employee staff to deal with these issues that we should not have to. Our goal is not to make money on these fees, but get the abuse issues resolved, and cover our costs.
5. We do not re-activate service until such fee is paid, otherwise, 99% of the time, the abuser will just take their data and run, without paying the abuse fee, and probably not any other service fees due prior. If you did not pay the fee, or work out a resolution with customer service (which typically they will void the first the first time it happens, if you explain the reason, and are plesant), of course we will delete the account eventually.
Obviously you flipped out, rather than take responsibility for your abuse issues, and attempt to resolve it civilly with us...so I'm sure we didn't bend the rules for you one bit.
We are one of the largest VPS providers in the entire industry, if not the largest, for good reason--and it is not because we have bad service, treat our client poorly, or and a dishonest company. After 20 year is in business, we have nothing to prove here.
