C R England Baby-sitting a truck while the company does not respond to me. Salt Lake City Utah
First off I think the owner of this site. you are truly do a good thing.
I have now been in the truck for several days. my paranoia tells me that england might be setting me up for a theft of the truck. thats why i am written this here. it will not be removed. NO MATTER WHAT.
I am on a dedicated route out of my home state. our contract is rumored to be coming to an end. inbound from my last delivery. one of our fleet teams told me he was just released from dedicated. so I get back and my load is one way to front royal, va. i was like oh no. im not driving teams.
I called mark, The weekend guy and said do not call me I have no answers to any of your questions. I was like why am I one way? I don't want to drive teams and he said just do the delivery and you will find out Tuesday whats happening to you.
I called a so called friend of mine. A co-worker and they said refuse the load. it's a trick. they are going to have you pick up a load inbound to a terminal and have you pick up a student and you'll be over the road teams. I said f*** that. id rather quit. better yet i'll kill myself. I snaped. I lost it. I hung up and these guys were joking. They dont call me back and they knew I was pissed. I dont let anyone step on my back. I stand up for myself no matter what the cost is. even if its my life. we all die and we all need to have morals that we can live with.
So I really do not know what I wrote. I just flipped out via quall comm and asked for anwers. I said I deserve answers but as the other post said all england knows how to do is LIE, LIE, LIE. The way I see it is if my dedicated account ended and now the company is company wide teams. I should be laid off. I can not sleeping in a bouncing truck and I shouldnt be forced to drive teams. so lay me off or fire me.
So now almost a week later. no pay, i have been in custody of a 90,000 truck. watching it. responsible for it. no messages back on the quall comm, no phone calls, and no emails. i sent a email to HR asking to go back on my runs or be laid off.
Must likely I will be in jail or getting shot by a cop. I have my values and I should be paid for watching the truck. I am more then happy to bring a load to the terminal and drop the truck off for a fee and if i get layover for 7 days and counting. I will no longer in life be taking advantage of. I ask that others do as I and be a strong Individual. write dot, fmcsr, and congressman and senators.
By myself I am weak and most likely nuts. United we will be heard. we will be feared. these companys, this government should be afraid of us not the other way around.

A message was sent out several weeks ago on qualcomm stating that all company drivers that are NOT on dedicated runs will have to find themselves a teammate or they will be assigned one based on where they reside. The only option out is to become a Phase 1 trainer. It also does not apply to IO's. So, if you are leasing they can't force you into teaming.

Look Im not saying what they do or dont put on your DAC. Just dont put to much worry into what CR England does. Everyone in the trucking industry knows what kind of deal CR runs. Most, if not all of the next companies, you go to will look at it and let it slide. Cut your loses now................. CR doesnt care one way or the other next sucker is waiting for that truck now Im surprised if your just not sitting there long enough for your replacement to be on his/her way now. I would take someone faster that is smart enough to get out to a scam as fast as possible than the one who stays to complete. One is smart the other is just dumb. I lasted 6 months before they fired me, within a 60days they had enough nerve to send a letter to my house saying I was eligible for rehire lol yea like my memory is that short. That was back on 2000 sounds like they are even worse now. The short part of story I stiffed em for the loan, collection ppl called for awhile finally told them no matter what I would never pay that loan. I still havent and will never pay it............... Havent heard a word about that loan since. The main reason why I wont pay other than I was scammed its this all that money they took out of my pay didnt count after I was fired, I still owed the full amount, nice of em wasnt it.lol

It looks like they are setting you up for a teamate. I would team up and start looking for a new job while still employed with England. If you gey layed off, who knows what they will put on your DAC. Good Luck...
