Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
1) Be prepared with full staff and giant fork lift to wait at least 2 days at buyers expense for delivery from promised date.

2)Be prepared to cut down or add on to panelized walls-many were the wrong size and width.

3)Be prepared to purchase additional wood-4X4 posts, additional plywood, nails are loose and not galvanized so toss them, doors are rotten and cheap fibreboard so toss them and buy real wood doors, garage doors will be missing altogether so don't believe claims that "everything's included" to dry your house in, roofing is barn roofing no one will install so be prepared to purchase new roofing materials, the "40 lb. felt" delivered was so cheap and thin and ripped so easilty no one would use it so be prepared to purchase tiger paw or some reliable house wrap, and other items to finish the exterior of your  house.

 4) Rough openings for many of the doors were not right, the front door opening was 2'' too narrow, we had to modify the opening.

The roough door openings for the fire doors from the garage to the family room were 6'' to narrow. they delivered 36'' wide doors and framed in for 30'' doors.

5.) The outside wall did not have a pressure treated bottom plate, they came with only one 2X6 fir plate and the outside sheeting did not extend to allow for any bottom plate so when we added the P/T plate it not only raised the wall the extra 1-1/2 but we had to talk the inspector into letting us scab on to the sheer wall with enough ply to hang down past the foundation. This all worked out but the added cost in labor for these manufacturing errors eats away at the final finsihed price.

6.) All of these problems were brought to the attention of Cabin Kit homes.

7)Customer service after they got the final payment was nonexistant. The final payment is made before delivery. The owner talks a good game.

I think that all the things that bothered the most and still does was the lask of customer service or concern for the product he sold.

The windows were all wrong.  Paid extra for windows that were sub-par and didn't even meet code.  Most were not clear glass and had to be replaced.  No help or customer service from Cabin Kit despite promises.  No garage doors despite promises.  The kit did not meet Washington code and had to be completely redone on site.  The cost exceeded the original price by many thousands of dollars with no reciprocation from Cabin Kit despite many contacts with company.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
