CAUTION- DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. BEWARE Cadillac of Bellevue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I placed an order for the new 2021 Escalade ESV on Sept 18, 2020 with the GM Jeff Larson. I called back later that afternoon with my husband to go through the order and my husband specifically asked while talking about pricing "Are you going to mark up this vehicle up above MSRP", Jeff replied "No". Jeff even sent an email with my order form specifying in his own writing that the MSRP was $105,075.

Over the next few months, Id call in 2-3 times in one week before i'd get a call back. I was initially told they'd expect the order in november, and then when i called repeatedly in november to get a specific date, they said december. And then when I called several more times before I reached someone that could update me they said January. Finally in Jan, I was told my car would come on Jan 28th AFTER I moved out of state. Very poor communication from Cadillac of Bellevue. THE NEXT PART IS BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!

On friday, Jan 29, 2021; I was filling out the loan application and when talking about how much I'd put down with the sales manager he threw out 20%. I asked him to refresh me on the vehicle price so I could give him a firm number of what we'd put down. He then said $122,000!!!!!! I asked him if that price was including taxes and he said NO. I instantly pulled up my order form and read off the price at full MSRP and told him that $105,075 was what we had discussed and what we agreed to. He proceeded to tell me that the additional $18,000 was the dealership "PRE INSTALLED PACKAGE".  This includes dealership warranties, undercoating, loaner vehicle, tires, service for 3 years, ETC. I kept repeating that I was not notified this at any point in the last 4.5 months and he just kept saying "well i'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is pre installed", implying that there is no way to get the vehicle with out these add ons. Mind you, I just moved out of state, why would I need any of these items from this specific dealership- I don't.

THIS IS NOT PRE-INSTALLED, THIS IS DEALERSHIP INSTALLED!!!! He then told me he'd discount it 50% ($9,000) since i'm an out of state customer. This is just a sneaky way to sell a car over sticker. They sell products that cost less than $100 to their service department who then turn around and sell those products to the sales department for $1,500 to create "artificial value" for paint protection which they then sell to YOU for $2,995.  I expressed I just want the vehicle I ordered from the factory and I want it the exact way it comes from the factory. We got back on the phone with Jeff Larson, the GM at Cadillac of Bellevue and he denied that he spoke to my husband back in September and that he never said they don't mark the vehicles up. He said the only way he'd sell us the vehicle is if we paid full MSRP + $6,000 IN ADDITIONAL DEALERSHIP INSTALLED PRODUCTS. So after waiting almost 5 months for my vehicle and now that it's on their lot, the only way I can pick it up is to pay $6,000- $18,000 in things we don't need.

They leveraged my $5,000 deposit to get me to order a car they promised to sell me at MSRP fully intending to mark it up $18,000 and pressuring me into doing it because I waited 5 months. And if I don't want to do it, they can turn around and sell my vehicle over sticker to someone else. So they used MY CASH to grow their inventory instead of their own cash. THIS IS BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!! THIS IS LYING!!!!!!! THIS IS STEALING!!!!!!!!!

In addition, while speaking to me, a woman, im given the full $18,000 upcharge and when my husband gets on the phone shortly after its dropped down to $6,000. The upcharge is clearly bait and switch, but on top of that a different price is given to a woman than a man.

We requested a full refund of our deposit and will never do business with this company.

Don't buy the darn car. I buy many vehicles. You have all the power. Make them an offer and if they don't accept it, walk away. Paying MSRP is bad enough but you're getting jacked for over $6000 OVER MSRP for what probably amounts to a couple of hundred dollars worth of dealers add -ons. Last car I bought was 2020 Camry. MSRP was $26k. I paid $19k plus tax Always be prepared to walk away. Good luck. C
