california Cycles Complete Scam VERY rude staff Panama City Beach, Georgia
We rented an electric car at 10am and used it for total drive time of 1.5 hrs and then the battery died and it would not recharge. After several calls speaking with Boston & the owner Colleen, we were informed if we didn't get it to charge then they would charge us our deposit. We asked for some assistance to see if the charger was defective. They said, "Our truck is broke down-just push it here" We were charged $200 for use of a car for 1.5 hrs and returned the car and was told that yes the battery was messed up but "that's the way it goes on electric cars" The owner said, " I'm not sure why people rent those but when you are on vacation, you can't expect things to go right" They have a rating of F with the BBB. The owner and the staff are didn't care that it was 95 degrees and my father has a heart condition & shouldn't be pushing a car. We finally got it started & didn't have to push it but the fact that they expected us to says it all. Beware!!
