Absolutely DO NOT rent at Camden Apartments, Lansdowne/Leesburg, Virginia. They gouge you on every occasion. They charged me about $500 for moving out expenses of a one bed apartment, when I had done my best in cleaning. For example, they charged me $80 to remove a 10 pound Miracle Grow bag....There are plenty of choices in the area. Just don't rent at Camden Apartments, Leesburg/Lansdwone in Northern Virginia...

Move out expenses were unrealistically high.

You asked what was a 10 lbs. bag of Miracle Grow doing in my Apartment. Well, this bag of Miracle Grow was on the patio not inside the Apartment. They charged me $80 to pick up the bag and another bag (which I had forgotten to remove) during moving out. That's too much labor charges and gouging leaving residents. They could have left me a phone message to pick it up and I would have done so. Instead they charged me $80 to remove the bags from the patio. This charge and similar other move out charges were very excessive.

So, that's why I said do not move in Camden Apartments Leesburg/Lansdowne, 43805 Stoney Brook Square, Lansdone/Leesburg, Virginia, VA 20176. Phone # 866-767-3114. I can find better apartments and staff in the Ashburn, VA area....

Why would you leave a 10-pound bag of Miracle Grow in your apartment?

You claimed you did the best cleaning that you could do - yet you didn't even remove the trash from your apartment. No wonder they charged you $500.  If you think leaving items behind is acceptable, then the rest of the cleaning would be subpar as well. I don't know this apartment complex at all, but your own post shows you didn't follow through on leaving your property clean when you vacated. If you don't know how to clean - google it and learn. Or hire a professional so you get your entire deposit back. Remember to take photos when you vacate so you can show the condition of the apartment if you need to sue the landlord for the return of your deposit. Use this as a lesson for the future.
