My Husband and I were guest at the Campaige Place from May 16,2014-June 28,2014.
The room that we stayed in did have a musty order. We did not know why until it started to rain. The room's carpet became soaked and I found out by accidently putting my foot on the carpet while putting on my shoes. My foot was wet. They already knew that the room flooded and they had not rented the room for some time.
The room did have roaches even though they said that they had the place sprayed once a month. It was not sprayed while we were there. When we asked them to have the room sprayed they gave us a can of fogger and told us to do it. The only thing they did about the wept carpet was to bring a dehumifier to the room to get the moisture out of the air.
I have asthma and I kept having trouble with breathing during the time that we were in that room. The toilet kept backing up and the room was not clean. Even after all of that they are refusing to give our $200.00 deposit back. We cleaned the room and gave them a thirteen day notice when only a seven day notice was required.
We found out from another customer that had left, that he did not get his deposit back because he did not give them a seven day notice that he was leaving in writing. So, we did that but then they told us that we are not getting our deposit back because we did not stay 3 months. We never said that we were going to stay for three months. We told them that we did not know how long we were going to stay. It could be a month, or two we only needed to stay for as long as it took for us to find a permanent place.
We were never given a copy of the application after she filled in the blanks so I don't know what she put in them.
I know that we never said that we would stay for three, because we did not know how long it would take. If these were the rules then why don't they give the customer a copy of them. We had asked for a copy of the agreement and never received it.
We would like to get our deposit back becasue the room was cleaner when we left it than when we moved into it.
How can business run and keep ripping people off and nothing is done about it.
The report is true in every way some of the things that are going on was not in the report.

I called Campaige Place Hotel a year ago from Texas and inquired about a stay. I was planning on relocating to Memphis and needed an affordale place to stay. I was told to fax my ID and Social and fill out a lease and they would need to do a credit check. The staff was rude and didn't seem to know what the credit score had to be or exactly what the qualifications were. I was hung up on and the entire experience was awful. Long story short I stayed righ where I was but that hotel has bad ratings and they deserve them.
