Canyon Club Apartments Oceanside Defrauded me on a lease Oceanside California
***FRAUD ALERT*** Canyon Club Apartments are fraudsters! Make sure not to allow them to defraud you on their lease by automatically opting you into bogus services that have absolutely zero value. One of the random services they opted me into was RentPlus… RentPlus is charged through the utility provider ConService.
So, I called ConService and was told Canyon Club Apartments enrolled me into RentPlus, and I could only cancel the service online. Great… So, I go online and could not cancel the service. Then, I had to call Canyon Club twice trying to find out how to cancel and was told I needed to visit RentPlus.com. Then, I go to the website, and I’m unable to cancel the service.
Now, I’m starting to get frustrated and call the number on the website (855.388.5314). Surprisingly, it was super easy to cancel the unneeded services within two minutes. However, when I asked them to issue a refund, I was told that I would need to speak with the apartment leasing office and they would issue me a refund.
I call Canyon Club and talk with Yvonne and kindly explained to her the situation and she treats me like I’m some sort of second class citizen refusing to issue any refunds and saying, "it’s something you signed off on in the lease agreement.”
