Rockford,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Wed, December 31, 2003
I happen to be an ex-employee of SCAMCO and recently have been trying to help victimized consumers. As far as the credit report goes, they actually aren't allowed to tell you that they are viewing it. That is a clear FDCPA(Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)violation!! Get one of these collectors on recording!! I want to let you know that they all use aliases. No one uses there proper name. Know why?? Because CAMCO employees can be personally sued!! Catch one of them and you will have some very good evidence. See how CAMCO uses there employees as a shield to prevent the company from being sued? Real nice, huh? Also, there is a little thing that they like to call the "mini-miranda". It is required of any bill collector of any company to recite. If anyone can get a recording of a collector not saying this BEFORE a letter has been sent stating the miranda, that would be golden. Mini-Miranda: "This is an attemp to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose". It is probably too late for you Zol, but I want to let anyone else know this info so that they can slowly take these creeps down.
