Capital Choice Consumer Credit misleading ripoff
I received in the mail a very misleading piece of information from Capital Choice Consumer Credit. Luckly I did not fall for the credit trap, because I am a banker. When I received a piece of mail from the company it stated that I was guaranteed a $5,000 line of credit that can be used on major purchases. I was somewhat excited that I was preapproved/guaranteed for the large (PLATINUM-per Capital Choice Consumer Credit)line of credit.
Consumers should beware and always read the small print carefully and slowly, luckly I did and saved myself $43 processing fee. The small print explaining the information about the account was in light green print on the back of the guaranteed certificate. Especially in the middle part when I speaks about the card in general. Per Capital Choice Consumer Credit it states that it is a merchandise card for catalogue purchases, not a bank card.
Capital Choice Consumer Credit also states that your intial purchases will include a 15% shipping and handling fee & 35% down payment. Please beware of the scam, because you could fall for the trap if you do not read all of the small print. Please remember that for major bank cards credit limits that are $5000-$7500 warrant for gold cards and normally your credit limit must be over $7500 per visa/mastercard to warrant for platinum cards.
