I received a call from Capital First offering me a credit limit of 2500.00 guaranteed and there was a 19.95 non-refundable fee to be charged to my checking account and 99.95 would be added to the credit card.. I agreed and gave them my information.

I never saw a 19.95 charge nor did i receive any information or credit card however, my checking account was charged 99.95 which threw me into an overdraft status.. when i called the ph number provided, i was told they would not give me the company name and the lines were busy and this lady was just taking messages for return phone calls..needless to say, i never received any return phone call.. luckily, i did not have enough money in my acct to pay the 99.95 charges however they were able to slip thru the 19.95 charge.. i adv my bank that i agreed to the 19.95 charge and i would take responsiblility for that charge..

i tried to close my account when i was told 3 wks later that 99.95 and 59.95 had been paid by my bank for new charges put thru. i called the ph number given and told the girl i wanted to cancel the capital first card... she kept trying to convince me that i needed this and that this was not a secured card and i needed to send in more money.

i adv her i work with capital one credit cards and i can get a secured credit card from them and that capital first could not pay me to take their credit card. she told me it was cancelled and my bank put the money back on my acct and claimed to close my account.

2 wks later, i received another notice from my bank that another 99.95 charge and 59.00 charge came thru and they paid that one.. (i did not have overdraft protection and no money in my acct). Furious w/my bank, I demanded a fraud report be filed and my acct closed a 3rd time. needless to say, i've never been contacted by any fraud department from COMMERCIAL FEDERAL either...

I was told by a branch manager that capital first and hartford insurance must have some pull with that bank to get my acct opened 3x and paid with no money in my acct.. go figure!!!

I'm very upset that i do not have any other info on this company or who is doing this..I find it funny that my bank did not have to eat those charges and somehow got their money back.. yet told me they had not info on this company...or, that these charges would be allowed to keep opening my acct...CAPITAL FIRST/COMMERCIAL FEDERAL, could be a combo you would not want to get involved with..
