According to Cap One's Annual Reports to shareholders, they should have "charged off" your account at 180-days past due. I would be interested in knowing more about your situation. I would like to know if Cap One is still reporting the fees they are assessing you as "earnings," even though the chance of recovering them is slight. Are they assessing you overlimit fees, too? What was your balance when you stopped paying? Did you have credit protection (the $2 or $3 montly payment so that if you get sick or lose your job they pay the minimum payment each month)? Did you inform them you could not make payments? Thanks
