On 4/17/2010 I placed an order with Carid (AKA ONYX) to purchase a grille for my truck. On 4/22 I still had not heard from company regarding shipment, so I contacted customer service (had to wait 12 minutes for answer bad sign). I then inquired about my order and agent said vendor no longer manufactured grille, so he would issue my refund which would take 3 business days (why so long, not sure). On 4/27 I received an email that my order had shipped????, so I contacted customer service that day to find out what was going on and the agent informed that while the order had showed cancelled the vendor shipped anyway? Shetold I would have to wait for item to be received, then return item for full credit. I was not happy about this considering they are the ones who made the mistake, so why should my funds be held for their mistake, no solid response was provided. So by May 2, I had no product, no prospects for a refund & very frustrated! So I provided Carid with one last shot and told them I needed a full refund by May 4th or else I would have no other choice but to report them to the BBB. Obviously they said they would "try" but that never transpired, so ultimately I had to report to BBB. Today May 13th, I received a confiration from CARid that I would receive a refund in "few days" however the amount was $60.00 less than what I paid, so needless to say I not only submitted a follow-up with BBB but I am also posting this report, so other consumers do not get screwed like I have...STAY AWAY from Carid, Onyx or whatever else they go by...next step for me is legal action!!!!!
