I filled out an online travel survey and was asked if I ever took a cruise during the survey. I stated no.

I then started to receive calls every day from Caribbian Cruise Line and Imperial Majesty Cruise Line telling me I had 72 hours to claim a 7 day cruise I had won for filling out the survey.

Finally I called Caribbian Cruise back to see what it was about. I mentioned that Majesty Cruise was also calling me for the same reason. The lady "Sandy Shelton" Senior travel coordinator, said she had no knowledge of who Majesty Cruise was and that they were the one and only original Caribbian Cruise Line hosted by Carmen Maranda. She also varified that I had won the cruise from filling out the travel survey and that they were available because every cruise has some cancellations and these are offered to contestants.

She asked me to sign into the site on the web and view the screen as she went through her speel about the cruise.

After all was said and done she proceeded to ask me if I had a major credit card which I would need to board the ship. I said yes. Then she said I would have to pay $59 for me and up to one guest for taxes, totally of $118, upfront.

I told her I was on fixed income and didn't have that money upfront. She proceeded to say thank you and before she could hang up I mentioned to her that I assumed this was a scam and that she could have saved a lot of time just telling me about the taxes first. She said she did, and she didn't.

She hung up.

It's Carmen Electra, genius. Of course they wanted money...they're not in the business of losing money. You actually thought this offer was legit? I feel sorry for you.
