My husband and I sailed on the Jubilee in October of 2002. We too, noticed the vibration, although the noise tended to bother us a little bit more. But I have to say, we had the time of our life. The cabin steward we had, was awesome. He even went above and beyond the call of duty. The wait staff in the formal dining room, as well as the casual dining areas were all extremely polite and helpful. The cruise director was hilarious. He kept us in stitches the entire time. Overall, while there is definately room for improvement, I don't feel it was as bad as you are saying, unless perhaps there was something more going on that may have had the staff in an uproar/ or given them reason to bee rude. The only complaint that I had was the last night of the cruise, we sailed into some very rough weather and nothing was said prior to that. Neither my husband or I either one had suffered any seasickness at all on the trip, and this came up on us suddenly. We were sitting in the showlounge when the boat started rocking. And kept getting worse. My husband and I ended up getting some dramamine from the purser and going on to bed feeling extremely ill. Carnival did however, give us a nice discount on a future cruise of our choice. I agree that there are things to be fixed, but we were more than satisfied with the crew and the things to do, both on board, and in port.
