In the persons defense, IT IS possible for one person to get food poisoning and not others. Sometimes e.coli will only inhabit a small piece of beef etc.. It is very likely that this person got food poisoning since Buffets are notorious for this and quite frankly the worst offender is the one you would least expect , RICE!

No, this is not my first cruise -- far from it. It is my 6th, although it is my first, and last on Carnival. Regardless of what you determine is accurate with regard to the food, I was there, you were not. Enough said. And yes, we received notification of a delay -- however, not being from the area, and having traveled into town the night before did not leave us with many options considering we were already there by the time the cruise line determined that there was a delay. You might consider Carnival a good cruise line, and if it was good for you, well, that is great. For my family, it was not. Not even close. In the future, I will stick with a cruise line that we have cruised with and found to be much better quality all around -- Royal Caribbean.

First is this your first cruise?
Second: Like you said northing you can do about weather. So why did you not call and ask carnval if the ship is in a delay? They also have a text program.
Third: You say someone got sick from the food? I check other boards about your cruise, No one else got sick? out of 2800 people?
Well I hope you can find a another cruise line to traval and have a fun time....
BUT for me CARNiVAL is the best to cruise.
