This attorney named Mr. Peterson calls me and tells me that the company Cash Net Usa is filing a complaint against my social security number for a non-payment of a payday loan. He said that I owed them $300 for a loan I took out with them in May 2012 for a Wal-mart Green Dot Pay Card. He then went on to say that they tried obtaining the funds from my checking account but was declined. I knew for a fact that I had never visited this website or ever tried to get a loan. And I have no idea what a Green Dot paycard is used for.

So I tell him this and he directs me to another number that is with the company. Mr. Rogers tell me that this matter has to be resolved by the time we disconnect the call, I could either get my attorney or they will file the complaint and talk to my employer about garnishing my wages. I tell them I don't have a lawyer cause I'm only 22 so I had to call them back. I inform my aunt about the call and she told me to ask them to send over the proper paperwork that says I was approved, along with the dates. I call back and asked to be sent the documentation and Mr. Rogers said they did in July by US Postal and I never responded, so I told him to just resend it.

My aunt gets on the phone and says she's my attorney and they fuss for a minute. She told me he said they tried to send it through e-mail and he wouldn't give her any confirmation numbers and would make me pay for the postal costs to send it again if they decided to. Now when I talk to him he said it was sent through the mail and spat off like 3 different confirmation numbers, but he told my "lawyer" it sent in an e-mail and wouldn't waste the time to send it again since I never responded to the 1st requests, which I never received.

This whole thing was a big joke that I hate to admit but had me freaking out. What person wouldn't flip out over somebody trying to sue them over something they know they didn't do?? They had me going pretty good but I knew something was off when he told me I had to pay the original amount of $400 for them not to file the complaint, but they would reduce it to $300 if I paid them that moment over the phone. I don't know how gullible they think I am to just give them my account information like that when I know for a fact it had to be either Identify Theft or bull crap.
