Hi first let me say that CCBill.com is NOT an adult website. CCbill is only a company that adult websites use to do their credit card processing. CCbill is paid a percentage fee out of your sales for this service. They do not personally own nor run any adult website. They have nothing to do with any of the content of the adult website not how they are run. I have been using CCbill for many years to do all of my online billing for my adult websites and have dealt with many consumer issues so I have lots of helpful advise on this. 1) If you have a charge on your credit card statement from CCBill and you say you did not sign up for any websites; Let me say to the ladies I can not tell you how many times that husbands & boyfriends use their girlfriends/wifes credit card to sign up for a porn site. They also use there own credit cards too. They also usually set up a seperate free email account so you won't see the emails to know that they joined and of course when you find the charge and confront them they will swear it was not them and it must be fraud. So do not always assume it is some crazy hacker out there with your info. The sign up 90% of the time is usually coming from your own home and even sometimes from your teenage son. Here is what you do. Immediately go the http://ccbill.com/customer-service.html and look up the account information to see what website was joined and when. You can also cancel the membership on this page. It will instantly stop any further charges (most adult websites are set to rebill monthly until canceled). If by chance it says the membership has already been canceled, well then you know for sure your hubby joined and canceled because a hacker is certainly not going to cancel. It will also show you the date of cancelation. If it was truly a hacker who has gotten your cc info then you need to IMMEDIATELY contact your credit card company, cancel the card and ask for the charge to be reversed. Or if it was your neighbor, teenage son, boyfriend or soemone else who does not have authority to use your cc then you need to also call and have the credit card canceled and I also suggest calling the police and reporting this person for their illegal act of fraud and credit card theft. If you want a refund for the charge then here is how to go about that. Let me state that I do NOT feel it is in any way fair to request a refund or do a chargeback if in fact your dear hubby purchased the porn and is hiding from you. That is something you need to deal with in your own house and not the problem of the website operator that they should be out the money for. I suggest you also directly email the website operator of the website they joined (not CCBill) explain to them that there was an unauthorized charge and ask them to please reverve the charge. ALL website operators who use CCbill for their billing can log into their account and refund any charge at any time. This will save you the hassle of going through the chargeback process with your credit card company. I can't promise you all website operators will issue you a refund on their own as some are true slimeballs. The website owner can also look up the exact IP address of the computer that the sign up came from. They can easily see if the charge came from overseas (where most fraud cc transactions come from) They can also tell if you are lying and and the signup IP tracks to your IP. Also then contact CCbill and report the fraud. Understand that CCbill gets many many requests for refunds from people who just want to get out of paying for their porn and will lie and say it was an unauthorized charge when it was not. So they are not going to just issue a refund to anyone who asks for one. That is why you will need to contact your credit card company, cancel the card and ask for the charge to be reversed. If it is truly a fraud charge then you will cancel the card, if your don't then it must not be stolen. That is why they make you go through the chargeback process with you CC company. 2) Can't Access website - If you are being rebilled by CCbill and you did join an adult website but just are having problems accessing the members area remember, CCbill does NOT control the website you joined and can not help you with acess problems. They only do the billing. Many times access problems are soley on the customers end and a problem with their own computer. a) Most website log ins are case sensitive. You must type in your username and password exactly as you originally typed it on the signup form. If you are unsure of how your username and password appears, you can look up your account information at https://www.ccbill.com/system/member.cgi b) If you are not getting the window to open that you need to enter your username and password, make sure you have your browser set to prompt for user authentication. c) Contact the website, you must contact the website that you joined (not ccbill) and let them know you are having a problem acessing. If they do not respond to help you after 48 hours then I would suggest you cancel your membership at http://ccbill.com/customer-service.html You can always rejoin later if they are able to remedy the problem for you or if you resolve the problem with your computer. The website owner can issue you a new username and password or extend your membership time to cover the days that you lost access if they choose to. It may be that there was a problem with the website itself (as server do go down sometimes) and if that is the case most website owners will issue you more access time if you ask them. Also most adult website have a security progrma that automaticaly kills your password if you share it with other people. If the sites security system detects more than one IP using your username it will kill it. So do not share your password with others and make sure you pick a username and pass with numbers and letters in it to prevent password hackers from getting your log in info. CCbill is truly honest, it is just that some of the websites that they process credit cards for are not and credit card theft/fraud is rampant on the internet so also be sure you only use your credit card on secure websites. I hope this is helpful info for you.
