Do yourself a favor and do not walk, BUT RUN from this company.

First off, they decided to show up a day earlier than scheduled for pick up. With 12 hours notice that they were doing this. So i had to take off work at the last minute and stay up until 4am finishing up my last minute packing. They were suppose to arrive between 12-3. They showed up at 6. AFTER i called the company 5 times and demanded to know where they were.

I watched them as they threw boxes, clearly marked fragile, around like they were sacks of potatoes. No care or concern for any of my belongings. I watched one guy try to move a 3 seat, sofa bed couch by himself on a dolly. Straight up and down, end to the ground. I knew he would drop it and sure enough he did. At that point, i asked what i was paying them for and told him that i didnt care how far behind schedule they were, they would be professionals and take care with my items. And that I am not a professional mover, but even i knew you didnt move a sofa bed couch by yourself, on its end. Sure enough when i showed up it was broken and the sofa bed portion no longer pops out and cant be used because they damaged the rails.

I had WAY overestimated my boxes on purpose so there wouldnt be suprises at pick up. Well, when they got here they started immediatly telling me that they had to charge for one thing or another. First it was long haul. Then it was to wrap items (which was part of my quote, btw). Then it was because i used too much cubic feet, even tho all of my furniture was listed on my inventory and i had LESS boxes than on my inventory. It was how they stacked it. I argued and threatened to make them unload and call the police so they took it down from $750 to $150.

I was PROMISED in my original dealings with the sales agent that my items would be delivered upon request within 5 days and at a time that was convenient for me, as i was moving to start a new job. This didnt happen either.  I called them after i found my apt and asked for delivery the following weekend. I was told they had 30 days to decide to deliver and would show up when they got there. After DAYS of arguing i told them to hold off on delivery becuase i was scheuled to be out of town for 4 days for work. Low and behold, i get a call while in California (they started calling me at 2am CALIFORNIA TIME) that the driver would be delivering that day. THAT DAY! By the time i got the 5 messages, one of which was being rude because i wasnt talking calls at 2-5am (i have do not disturb on my phone and i will only hear calls from CONTACTS) the driver was saying he was 2 hours away and was delivering that day. After much back and forth and threats to unload in the parking lot, or head back to NJ with my stuff, or charge me $750 for "delay of delivery" I was finally able to get in touch with my brother who lives 30 miles away to drop his plans for the day and go to my apt. Which involved me having to contact the apt complex to let him in because i had the only key with me!

After my brother raced over there, they didnt show up for 2 hours. And it was just the driver that showed. The driver had apparently hired day laborers to unload and not professionals and he was waiting on them to "find the place". After an hour of waiting the driver finally just started unloading by himself. an hour later, the guys finally showed up. And were so inexperienced and out of shape that they had to take a break after carrying every piece of furniture and box up the stairs.

almost every box they showed up with was damaged. All my furniture is scratched. not one piece isnt. My curio cabinet had every piece of glass busted out. 65% of my dishes and stemwear were damaged or broken in some way. My desk was in two pieces and rendered unusable. My coffee table never showed up. AT LEAST 4 boxes are missing. They damaged every wall in my apt. Tracked mud on my white carpet.

They did not resassemble any furniture as the contract says. They didnt even arrange it in the proper rooms. upon returning home, i had to hire movers to come move it to the correct places and reassemble everything. When i asked my brother, i was told they told him it wasnt part of their job and they werent doing it. Not being familiar with the contract i signed, he assumed i took a cheap route and decided to not pay for that service.

After a year, they have still refused to settle on my claim. I have sent it in twice and it has been "lost in the mail" both times.
