I opened a Chase Bank account on Friday January 9, 2015 and on Monday January 12, 2015 it says online my account was suspended. I called the customer service and they are not even in the US, there is the language barrier and the guy had no idea what he was talking about. Horrible customer service. I spoke to one guy who couldn't tell me why my account was closed without any activity o the account, then he transfers me to his so called supervisor who states " I'm sorry mam but you signed an agreement with Chase Bank which states that Chase Bank can close your account without notice or explanation". What? Are you kidding me? As I continued trying to explain that I haven't deposited any money, checks, or used the card yet, so it doesn't make any sense why my account would be closed, this so called supervisor just kept reading the script and telling me that he doesn't have to tell me why they closed the account and they don't have to notify me either. I was speechles. I have money coming in from a merchant account and I have money going out as I have paid bills so who is going to pay for all the bounced payments Chase Bank? I don't think so. This ahould be illegal. They can't just play with peoples' lives like that and have these idiots answer the phone, reading a script and not give you any kind of explanation. Thats is ridicolous. Chase Bank needs to go out of business and they need to get sued. How can you close my account when there was no activity and you didn't even notify me. That should be against the law. It's illegal and what about my rights? Don't ever deal with JP Morgan Chase. They are horrible and evil people who will take your money and rip you off. Chase Bank are scammers and need to go to jail.

So me not putting all my money into a bank account that starts out shady makes me a scammer?

- Yes it does when you have at the same time authorized or set up transactions to take MORE money than you put in figuring that it takes 3 Days to withdraw the money.  You were attempting to "float" funds and that is not allowed and in certain conditions is actually considered fraud where you could be the one arrested.  Since you had literally had done this within 1 business day of opening your account Chase protecting THEIR interest decided to close your account.  Just be lucky that they apparently have decided to (as of now) not pursue criminal charges against you.

The only thing wrong here is your attempt at using money that wasn't yours.  So Chase basically slapped your hand and said no you can't do that and you are now throwing a temper-tantrum when you in fact are the one who is wrong.

Oh and one other little issue.  There is a good chance that Chase will now report you to ChexSystems for this making it next to impossible to open up an account at any other regular bank for years.  But then again...perhaps your old bank also did this and that is why Chase closed your account.

"Plus it takes about 3 days for those companies to take out the money..."

Due to advancements in ACH technology, transactions move much quicker between financial institutions than just a few years ago. They closed your account due to your banking history or due to your speedy overdraft of a new account. Only you know for sure.

So me not putting all my money into a bank account that starts out shady makes me a scammer? Not the fact that this account has been shady since I opened it and couldn't log in for some odd reason? I am not going to put all my money for you to steal it and then tell me it was in the agreement. No way. I had a feeling something was wrong and I made the right choice. I saved myself a lot of headaches dealing with incompetent employees with a low IQ who are trained to read a script and don't speak english. Yeah I couldn't wait to deal with that. And you are a prove of that. I guess Chase Bank is known for hiring little robots withour brain activity. So if I had put my money in on Saturday, then today my account is closed. I won't be able to pay my bills nor would I be able to take my money out. Really? Was Chase Bank going to pay the bills. No they would apologize for the inconvenience and tell you to take a hike. So please don't you dare call me a scammer when the account opened was shady since day 1. Also, why would you open an account that you would close 2 days later? That's some shady business. And the only explanation I get is we can't tell you or I don't know?

Lol and that is why you guya have the worst customer service in the whole industry. You don't even take responsibility for being a horrible bank. I was going to deposit the money but since i was having issues with the online banking I got suspicious and wanted to see what the issue is and  I am thankful I didn't put all my money in so you can just keep it and give me some bs excuse of why it will take you 7 to 10 business days to give me my money back. Plus it takes about 3 days for those comapnies to take out the money so it wouldn't matter if I put in the money on Saturday or Monday but if you had half a brain you would know that. Also I don't think that is any of Chase's concern. Bottom line is you guys are scammers and you can't even just say that you are wrong. You explain to me how your agreement states that you can cancel someone's account without notification or any kind of explanation. So if some minimum wages half asleep employee made a mistake then you are playing with peoples' lives and money. But what does Chase Bank care? You people don't care because you are not making any money on it. I wouldn't be so furious if at least you had normal customer service repesantion. The two guys I spoke to barely spoke english to begin with and then they couldn't answer any of my questions. So what is the point to having customer service to begin with, if they are incapable of answering simple questions and they can't even read the script correctly. And by the way your reply shows zero professionalism and education. Clearly Chase Bank need to invest more in their online reputation. That's basic Marketing 101 but perhaps Chase Bank needs to send their emoyees to Basic Marketing 101.

You wrote, “As I continued trying to explain that I haven't deposited any money, checks, or used the card yet” but then you wrote, “I have money coming in from a merchant account and I have money going out as I have paid bills so who is going to pay for all the bounced payments Chase Bank?”

Why have you authorized withdrawal transactions against an account that has no money in it? You appear to be the scammer.
