Chase bank may be in a wide range of location, but that's how they rope you into opening an account with them. In reality that's the only good thing about them because they make idiotic claims that are not only illogical but also unethical. They give you the option of going negative in your account as a courtesy to you, but depending on who you talk to, they can basically charge you as many late fees as they want whenever they want. Their logic is that you have until 11 pm the same day that you went negative, but the stupid thing is that if you were going to have the money the same day anyways, why would you ever need to go negative. The logical thing would be to give them till 11 the following day to help them or give them the courtesy to not starve the day before they get paid. According to multiple chase employees this logical idea is not one they abide to be true. Why give people this option if your requiring them to put money back in the same day? To me this is an unethical way for them to steal money from you. Also, on more than one occasion I have been double charged for stuff like my electricity bill. I recieve a confirmation notification saying that money came out for my bill, no problem. A few days later, once again I will get a notification saying that money came out a second time, but if you look back at your charge history everything has changed and from their end "there is no history of that money coming out in the first place" and even with the email they call you a lier and say your basically making stuff up. The problem still remains though I end up having to pay the same bill twice because the money is gone from my account. So either they are double charging people or they are just losing or stealing money from people directly. Oh and they give you only so many courtesy charge removals but they don't tell you how many and because they screw you over so frequently those are gone almost instantly.

I repeat chase bank is a scam! Boycott immediately! Before they can get away with screwing over more innocent people who are just doing what they need to do to live a happy life and be a functional member of society. Chase bank makes it nearly impossible to do either task.

First, there's a DIFFERENCE between a checking account and a credit card!  Research that.

Sorry...there's no scam, no attempt by the big bank to "get" the little guy and no great under-the-table agreement between Clinton, Bush or Obama to get you.

In EACH and EVERY case of those wailing about overdraft fees, the ONLY cause is the account holder's FAILURE to maintain written records, FAILURE to maintain a current running balance and FAILURE to balance their account.  Yes, in EACH and in EVERY case.  Until and unless YOU decide to keep records and manage your own money in your own account then you will continue to run up overdraft fees.

Finally, don't waste the effort claiming I work for them because I don't.  Instead, use the effort to learn how to keep a CHECK REGISTER and RUNNING BALANCE.
