Hi Stephanie - ignore Karl he is nothing but a moron that continues to post gibberish and nonsense poems on other peoples legitimate posts.  

The only thing I can think of is that they pulled a credit report of yours recently and noticed that your debt to available credit was high or that you had opened a number of other lines of credit.  If that was the case, they may have made this move in order to limit what they felt was their exposure to default - in their minds.   It's something credit card companies do frequently and it's not always an accurate measure of a customer's risk but I've seem them do this before.  

In any event, if one credit card company doesn't provide the service you need then the best thing you can do is take your business elsewhere.  Losing a customer's business is the only way to get through their heads that they shouldn't mistreat good customers.  Local credit unions are usually really great to work with - better rates and not taking Federal money to bail them out of stupid decisions at the expense of the rest of us.

that JPMorgan Chase paid back all of the bail-out money that was provided to them by the government.

Keep in mind that words are not proof. Just because someone said that the money was repaid doesn't prove anything. Show all of us the canceled checks or any of the transactions that will PROVE JPMorgan paid back all of the TARP money, which was taxpayer's money.

While you are at it, please provide us with the 'law' that says Americans must pay Federal Income tax on the money that they earn as a result of their 'labor'. (Remember, a code is not a 'law'.) Please provide us with a copy of the 'Law'.

It is actually public knowledge that JPMorgan Chase did not need nor want to take the bailout money give by the government but did as a token of appreciation.  A little research would show you that JPMorgan Chase paid the entire amount back WITH interest as soon as they received it "bailout".
