I have had my credit card with CHASE BANK for several years and have always had a 9.9% interest rate. In August they raised my interest rate to 23.24% and in September they raised it to 23.49. Unfortunately I did not notice it on my August billing but did on my September billing that I just received.

I called Chase Bank on 10/4/04 and they gave me the excuse that they checked my credit report and I have some unfavorable report on it. I do not understand about this because I have always kept my credit excellent and have paid Chase every month (ON TIME) and usually more than the requested payment and this is how they reward me!

I have already read one complaint so far, and they have done the exact same thing to someone else and if I look I'm sure I will find a lot more.

During my conversation to Chase they required me to write a company and go through a bunch of stuff I shouldn't have to go through just to see if they will lower my rate back to 9.9%. I will no longer deal with a company who will rip off their GOOD customers and have asked for my credit card to be canceled!!
