Cherry Hill Triplex Bait and Switch.... Total Scam Artists Ripoff Cherry Hill New Jersey
I am always trying to keep people away from The Cherry Hill Triplex!!
After reading some of the other reports, I'm really thankful that my experience wasn't as bad as some of the ones I've read.
I went there in March of 2005 to buy a car and the only reason I chose there is b/c I was desperate and they convinced me I wouldn't be able to get a car anywhere else b/c of my credit. Let me tell you, they are complete SCAM ARTISTS and they will ruin your life if you aren't careful. They had 6 different salespeople in front of our faces to confuse us into signing the paperwork and giving a down payment. When we got home we looked at the paperwork and they pulled a bait and switch. The car was triple the price. We called the bank to put a stop payment on the check and found out they had changed the check into a EFT without our authorization.
The next day we drove the car back and demanded our money back for 3 hours. The only thing that saved us was that I had not signed the title of my car over, my boyfriend did and he wasn't on it. On our way out the door, they got on the intercom system and announced to all of their customers that "the man and woman on their way out the door had just wasted their time. Don't waste our time like them" and they wouldn't give us our down payment. We went home and filed a complaint with consumer protection on the NJ Attorney General website.
It took us about a month to get the deposit back b/c everytime we called, they would lie about who the owner was. Finally, we just started calling several times a day and threatening to show up for the check. It worked.
Two months after we filed the complaint with consumer protection, we received paperwork to file and shortly after a call from the real owner. He ended up apologizing for the way we were treated and also paid us several hundred dollars for our time.
I would NOT recommend for anyone to buy a car from this place. "Just Say No To The Cherry Hill Triplex" I would rather ride the bus or hitch hike.

I too allowed myself to be a victim of these people. My suggestion, READ THE FINE PRINT. The ad about the 89.00 a month did contain a caviat (sp). It states it is based on approved credit (paraphrased). Also, I was taken in by the 8000.00 for your trade nonsense ... yes, then a car that was 18,000 (approx) MSRP ended up being 24,000. Nicely done. They would not give me my car keys!!! Please understand, that unless you know the law you cannot assume or proclaim that a company's actions are illegal, perhaps unsavory but not illegal. I have noticed that quite a few (including myself) people who are lured in by the bait are generally credit challenged. DO NOT LIVE OUTSIDE OF YOUR MEANS!!! Pay off your debt and repair your credit so these sharks do not have to lure you in. You will be armed to negotiate.
